Chapter 9 - His Cold Behaviour

Joshua and Claire were already in the car when he drove back to his house. She stared right at her hand where she got injured; she could feel the pain, and it was bleeding.

She winced in pain, which distracted Joshua's attention. "Shouldn't you think of a solution? Why do you have to act so weak just because of an injury? You watch a lady beat you up, and you can't fight back? Are you that stupid, or what?" He scolded her out of anger at seeing the way that she was acting.

"You have no right to talk to me about you. Instead, you should focus on your business and find something else to do. You said we shouldn't have anything to do with each other." You have been in charge of my business ever since we were married." She retorted while dropping the hand that was hurting her back into her lap, and the rest of her head was right on the window.

He didn't bother to reply to her anymore. He saw a store and pulled up right in front of it. "We don't have a first aid box at home. You should get some tissues, or something. The sight of blood can be really annoying." He informed her.

Sighing in frustration, she left the room to get her wound treated. "Ma'am, I would love to have something for my wound." She notified the lady in charge of selling the medicine and showed her the injury.

"Oh! I'm coming." She left the cashier's room and proceeded to get what she needed.

"Let me help you apply it." The lady offered her a hand, and she agreed. She helped her and thoroughly dressed the wound.

"You should take care of yourself. You are a female and shouldn't get any injuries. Your husband must be waiting for you." The lady told her, while she chuckled slightly.

"He isn't my husband. Thank you very much." She then paid for the service that she had rendered. Claire entered the car, and then he drove off without even saying anything.

"How long was this marriage going to last? Would I continue living my life this way?" Different questions came across her mind, but there was no answer to them. She knew his behaviour already and how he was a huge jerk. Someone who sleeps a lot is a lady, even though he has a wife at home.

She thought about punishing him in any way possible, and there was only one thing that came to her mind. That was to ensure that the media would know what he did on his wedding day.

It would be very easy for her to release that kind of news to the media using another person's identity, as that would make him not be angry at her. She felt like doing something like that, but she could predict how he was going to react to something like that as well.

She wanted him to be in pain while he ran for shelter. She was really pained by what her mistress told her the other day. There was nothing that she could do other than act like she didn't care.

Joshua was also bothered by her cold behavior. Immediately, they reached home. "Oh shit!" Claire muttered under her breath after she got to realise that she would be sleeping in the same room as him, and all her belongings were already packed in the other room.

She walked to his room, then opened the door without even knocking. She wasn't used to knocking. She saw what she was not supposed to see. "Oh my goodness!" She stared at his huge dick as she closed the door out of shock and embarrassment.

That was the first time that she would see one in real life. She has always seen them in pornography videos, but not in real life. She was scared about the way she was going to react.

Joshua noticed that someone was opening his door without knocking. He knew that the maids wouldn't do something like that. At first, he thought it was Samantha, but not until he saw Claire standing at the entrance, staring at his huge dick.

"Why is she acting like she hasn't seen one before? Not like she is that holy." He muttered under his breath after he had seen the way she reacted the other time.

Claire took her breath and decided to knock right on his door again, and she was given permission to enter the room. He was already putting on clothes.

"I am so..." She couldn't get to complete his statement before he interrupted her. She wanted to apologise for her acts, but she couldn't.

"You should know basic manners, just like this! Were you not taught how to knock?" He questioned her, and she sighed, not replying to him anymore. He was also tired of the way she had been giving him cold behavior. He had always viewed himself as irresistible. It was humiliating to see that a lady wouldn't give a damn about him.

"I would love to take a bath," Claire informed him while she hoped that she was going to leave the room for her. "You can go to the bathroom. I am not stopping you." He continued what he was doing on his phone, while she stared at him in disbelief.

She was still struggling to understand why he didn't have any problem with them being in the same room. She picked up the clothes that she was going to wear and went into the bathroom. She made up her mind that she was going to change right inside the bathroom, since he wasn't planning to leave the room for her.

Samantha wanted to come and meet Joshua. She was still a little bit upset at how he treated her the other day. "There was no way that he would pick that ugly lady over me! She was not his type of person." She was trying to assure herself that she would immediately get into his house.
