Risha woke up in a small room. It had a small bed and a table and nothing else. This time she was not much surprised seeing an unfamiliar place. She slowly drank a glass of water. For all that was happening, Risha was surprisingly calm. She didn't even have enough time to grief for her parents and brother's death and here she was doing something else. She convinced herself if she could be successful in what she was doing, she could get them back. Looking around, she asked, "Noah, where are you?"
There was no answer. She climbed down the bed you and walked to the door. She saw no no handle or doorknob and was puzzled. To her surprise, the moment she laid a hand on the door it opened itself. She walked outside and saw many cabins similar to hers. She instinctively walked forward. As if her senses were guiding her to where he was. She finally stopped at a place which seemed much like a control room and entered.
There in front of the control panel, she saw a human. Well, he at least it looked like human.
" Hey, are you the Noah guy?" Risha asked. She has been wanting to meet him from the first day. However he seemed rather startled. He looked in the back at Risha.
"You scared me. Well, I am not Noah."
Risha looked at him with prying eyes.
"Whoa! Red hair and purple eyes, that's not something we get to see everyday." Risha commented in an amusing manner.
The guy frowned and his eyes narrowed. "When he told me that you lack a few screws, I thought he was kidding. But turns out he was damn right. It isn't a polite way to talk with a stranger you just met, kiddo."
"Hah! I see. What a polite one you are! Ridiculous! Who are you again if not noah? "
Risha gritted her teeth. She wasn't usually this Impolite but situation made her. It was like she lost her soul. All her positive emotions were gone. She was in a bad mood, also having trust issues. She was feeling that if she was good for a single second or started to trust them, then they would take advantage of her.
The red haired guy was taken a back by her response. He didn't expect her to be respond like this. He felt a little offended.
"Rowshan, that's what I am called but you can call me Shaan."
"Arisha Haydar, you may call me Risha. Now that introductions are over, can you tell me where is Noah? And where am I?"
"What a mannerless child!" Shaan huffed, "Well you can ask him directly."
"But how? Where is he"?
"Umm..." Shaan thought for a moment before answering, "He should be here in about an hour. Oh, right. You woke up after long sleep so you should be hungry right now. Wait a bit, I will get dome food"
"Now that I think about it I really I am hungry. Wait! How long did I sleep?"
"Seven days straight." Shaan's answer surprised Risha.
' I sleep for that long!' Risha thought to herself. 'But again it was nothing weird after all that brat drugged me'
" Hey what's there for food?"
Before he could answer a robot came and served a bowl of soup. Risha frowned, "Not again! You are seriously drugging me again?"
"Wait, who drugged whom?" Shaan seemed startled.
"Never mind," Risha was way too much hungry and didn't bother to answer. She just started digging up the food.
"Oh, you are up."
Risha's whole body felt a shiver on her spine as soon as she heard the voice. The same deep voice she heard back there. It was Noah's voice. Risha looked up and saw him, the owner of the voice. His curly silver hair down to his neck, his round face, his forest green eyes, small nose, pale lops and similar skin made him look beautiful,like a sculpture. He had a relatively small figure. He was wearing an ordinary black sweatshirt and jeans. With a smile curved on his face he said, "Hello Risha, I am Noah."
Risha was shaken to the core. No, not because of his beauty but she felt he was dangerous. There was no reason to feel so. He never acted with hostility. But still she just can't feel comfortable.She smiled tensely and introduced herself.
He nodded and said, "I apologize for drugging you back there. I had no other way. The radiation was too high and if you were in your sense you would have lost your mind. That would've been bad,right?"
Risha hesitated before speaking, "From my place to here a lot of things happened and I believe I deserve a proper explanation. What is exactly going on?"
"It's a complicated story.Now if you don't mind I shall explain." Noah answered,
"Those being are called Terra. They are basically a type of parasitic beings. Unfortunately they have clever mindand they got what it takes to utilise it. They are often found targeting other beings, taking over them. They usually come in the form of droplets each having a bunch of them and then they vaporize in the air spreading themselves. Then they enter the host's brain to take over it completely. Usually it takes huge amount of mental will resist them even for a single minute. Although there should be an exception as you were completely fine even after getting in contact with them despite the fact you are one of the weak minded people. As for your friend who was dead at spot after being struck by thunder, she was simply unfortunate for being caught in the middle. That lightning was actually a signal they were throwing. They were giving signal that they were ready to attack."
"What about my family?"
"I was just coming to that point. As they were taken over by Tera's they are mind and their existence were practical destroyed. So although their physically alive they could be considered dead. So yes your family is dead. Oh, I'm sorry. I apologize if I was being too harsh." His voice siddenly softened.
"No, it's alright." with a stone voice she said, "What I wanted to know was the truth and truth is bound to be bitter. It's my reality. Beside you don't need to be so careful with your words. All we have is a deal and I would satisfied with you doing your part. Nothing else matters."
"Oh!" Noah's face darkened for a moment but Risha didn't notice. She continued, " Where are we? When are we going to past? And how is it going to help? Do you have a way?"
"Easy, we're already in the past. Nineteen years ago. All you need is to co-operate. I will explain slowly. After all, we had a deal. You would trust me, right?"
"Not like I got an alternative.", Risha scoffed.
