Chapter 10 - Mission

It was one afternoon. Risha only knew about the time because of the clock hanging on the wall. She still wasn't allowed to go outside. She was very bored being forced to stay here but she wasn't in a place to protest. A few times she told Maisha about this but every time she did Maisha acted so cold that Risha couldn't muster up her courage to bring up the topic again. Anyways she had nothing to do and was about to sleep when she heard that voice. Voice deep as ocean, it was the voice she almost forgot about but deep down it was also the same voice that she was dying to hear.

" Noah! ", she almost jumped.

'Slowly dear, you do not need to make sound just listen to my voice and answer on your mind'

'Oh sorry, I forgot but where were you for so many days! You just said one vague thing and then you were nowhere to be found. What was I supposed to do?' Risha bursted out in anger. Noah and his secrecy was getting on her nerves. But Noah paying no attention to her question said,

'Very well, you did great. You are already in a friendly state with your mother, are'nt you?'

'Yeah, I am. Then again how is that connected with stopping those Terras? Don't tell me my mother has any connection with those things. I don't believe you'

'I wasn't about to say something like that. Your mother is a human. An ordinary human completely unaware of the danger lurking ahead.'

'Then why...?'

'Let me finish. She might not be directly involved in that matter anyhow. But I am sure your heard about the butterfly effect. Her actions now has a serious impact on the things that happened in the timeline you came from.'

'Then what is my purpose? Do not tell me that just by coming to the past and making my mother my friend will solve all this problems.

'Hey Risha, you are being hyper.'

'Why won't I? You just keep me unaware of everything. I have told you again and again that without even knowing what I am supposed to do how am I going to do anything?'

'But...'

'And there you are leaving me without any warning. You said you won't have any physical form, fine! But that doesn't explain why you were completely out of my reach. Did you drop dead or what?'

If not for the fact she was talking through mind link, she would've been panting crazily. Her face was red with anger. How much long was she supposed to keep up with these?

Noah apologised.

'I am extremely sorry Risha. I promised to share these matters with you but I really have my own situation. I don't expect you to understand. But please, at least give me some more time.'

Risha who almost cried in anger suddenly calmed down. As if Noah sprinkled some soothing drug on her.

'Are you going to vanish again?'

'Yes, I have to go somewhere but I promise this is the last time.'

'Alright, why are you here? '

'You sure know what you are mother is planning to do, don't you?'

'Yeah, I know.'

' Get involved in her plan.'

'What do you mean?'

'Exactly what I said. Get involved in her plan in any ways.'

'But...'

'But what? Didn't you already get into a friendly state with her? Or was that too shallow? '

'I...', for a moment, Risha couldn't find the right word.

'I am friendly with her but in the end I am still her prisoner. She already suspected me once as her enemy, as a spy. But now you are telling me to get involved in her plan? How am I even supposed to tell her that? And...'

Risha stopped for a moment,

'This doesn't make sense in any way. And I am supposed to be someone who has no memory for the record. What type of reason I will give her to make her trust me let alone convincing her. I mean if I was in her place and someone who is supposed to be amnesic help me that I wanted to take hard in a rebellion even I won't trust it. It is completely nonsense if you ask me.'

'I wasn't asking you.'

Risha shivered. Noah's voice was calm, void of any emotions. As if it could freeze her blood. And then again it suddenly had life and was full of sympathy.

'Risha, just as I said, next time I come I will explain everything to you. But for now please trust me. This is something you have to do for you, for your family, for the world and for me. You want them back, don't you ?'

Risha didn't know what to say. She felt like a mindless puppet and Noah was the one controlling her strings. Besides listening to him she had no other way. In a place completely unfamiliar to her, he was the only one she could lean on. And just as always she gave in.

'Alright, I will try. But I can't guarantee I will succeed.'

'You will, I assure you.'

That night, Risha thought a lot but in the end she couldn't come up with anything. It was impossible to begin with. And it's not like she could talk to Maisha whenever she wanted. Maisha was a busy one, she came to visit Risha only when she had timem And the other times, a robot will come to take care of Risha. The next day, Maisha still didn't come.

And with the time passing Risha's anxiety grew more and more. By the time Maisha finally came , Risha was on the brink on collapsing. All this time she couldn't eat or sleep or do anything. She didn't have a peaceful stable mind to begin with and it turned worse. Seeing Her Maisha was shocked .

"My goodness, Risha! What on earth happened to you?"

Risha eyes were tired, full of dark circles. Her hair was untidy and she looked like a ghost.

She was not eating properly and was unable to get out of her bed.

"I am fine", her voice made Maisha fully confirmed that she wasn't fine at all. She called for the robot and asked why it wasn't taking care of Risha . The robot answered that it did exactly as Risha ordered. Maisha grabbed her own hair. While she suspected this young girl to be a spy, she didn't want her to die, not in her place at the least. She commanded the robot to take her temperature and give some medicine. Risha grabbed her hand. Her mind was dizzy and she forgot where she was.

" Mommy, don't leave. I beg you. "

"Mommy?" watching Risha mutter, she leaned closer to listen but...

'This girl, why was she crying? Her mother... ah!'
