Midoriya Pov
The thing in Midoriya's mind these days was the individual known as Enmado Inazuma. He still remembered the day in which he had met the boy that gave the hardest advice ever in his life.
When he was just a quirkless boy, most people avoided him like a plague or bullied him and treated him as something they can crush, something they can blame any problems that happens to them to and release their frustrations on. And the other people who were few and cared for him always had a look of sadness and words telling him that they are sorry that he does not have a quirk. None of the people he had evert met had any other words for him as well.
But that was until he met that boy one day, he was being regularly bullied in school by Bakugo and the teacher who was a quirkist always turned a blind eye to it. Like always Midoriya expected to get wounds which he would have to explain to his mother that it was caused due to him falling down somewhere or the other.
But that day he was saved. He was saved by a person who looked like he was only one or two years older than him. From him, he expected scorn after telling him that he was quirkless and then he received a look of scorn as well.
But this time it was different as this was not because he was quirkless but because that person found out he was weak.
"when people break into your home to injure your mother, would you stand by and watch because you are quirkless"
That sentence broke everything that he thought till now. Until that day, he had written down information about every quirk that he comes across and his ideas on how to train them as well. He had decided to start his training later thinking that one day he might get a quirk and then he can decide how to train. But Inazuma's words that day told him how much pathetic he was in thinking that way. He was always assuming that he was a late bloomer and one day he will get his quirk. His thoughts were so deep in this delusion that he never thought what would happen if he never got a quirk and had wasted his later life waiting for it on his own.
He then started training hard from the next day onwards and never allowed anyone to bully him from then on. When Bakugo tried to use his quirk to bully him, he fought back for the first time and he stood up again and again even when he was knocked back by the explosion and in the end he lost, he tried his best to stand up even when he couldn't, he saw it.
Bakugo had fear in his eyes. Something he never dreamed of seeing
Midoriya fainted after that and had woken up with his injuries bandaged. But from that day onwards, he was never bullied again as everyone who watched that fight with Bakugo knew that he was not weak. This did not make him overconfident but made him even more sure about the path that he had taken since taking the advice of that person that saved him that day.
He trained for a whole year, became even more stronger, no he became stronger than he ever thought he would become and then he met his idol since his childhood Allmight. And he asked the same question that he had asked his mother and the reply he got that day.
"You can't be a hero without a quirk"
That made him sad for just a moment, but he broke out of it as he now knew that his efforts are what he should focus on for his goal to be a hero. And that day, he saved Bakugo and got One For All. He had thought about rejecting it but that day, Inazuma came again and made him take the quirk and made him remember that he wanted to be a hero to save people. And now he was moving towards the goal of becoming the greatest hero ever.
Right now, Midoriya was watching TV about the speech between Stain and Inazuma. Midoriya was not an idiot, and he can think clearly and properly as well. He had gone into the internet and found out that many anonymous users had tried to post the speech said by Stain alone, but it was overshadowed by the news of Inazuma's reveal as Blood lightning.
He can see that someone had tried to use Stain to generate unrest among the people and reduce the trust that people have in heroes. If Inazuma had not done what he had did, exactly that would have happened and the resulting problems to the society would have been tremendous. Inazuma might have known that and thought about using himself to stop that.
Midoriya clenched his fists in frustration. He remembered being saved by Stain and that had prompted him to give out that speech. And that in turn might have forced Inazuma to reveal his identity that he had been hiding from the world since he started saving people.
'all because I am still weak'
The thought made him clench his fist harder, making small wounds that made blood flow from it.
'I could have not been caught by that Nomu and should have taken it out on my own and that would have stopped Stain from making that speech"
He looked at the blood on his hands and then relaxed his tense body and took a deep breath.
'Stain had told that I had the potential of being a hero that he had envisioned' thought Midoriya as he looked back into the fight 'Inazuma sensei had also believed in me'
'so, I can be someone who is the ideal image of the hero both of them thought about' he closed his eyes and thought about everything and when he opened them, he decided what to do
'I need to become stronger, even stronger than I planned before'
'strong enough that no one has to pay for the mistakes made by me for being weak'
He decided on his mission and did not notice the sparks of One For All on his body shining a bit brighter
