IN THE OLD TOWN
A group of cowboys confronts the townspeople about David.
"Hey, where the hell is that guy in the black suit? You're hiding him in your houses!" one of the cowboys shouted.
"No, sir, we don't know where he is," the people replied.
"Don't know, huh? Well, we'll make you talk. How does that sound?" The leader of the cowboy gang shouted aggressively.
They were standing outside the old man's bar.
The old man stepped out and was shocked to see them.
That gang again! What do we do? That kid isn't even here this time, the old man thought.
"Hey, you old scum!" one of the cowboys yelled as he walked toward the old man.
"I heard you were close with that kid. Where is that bastard?" The leader grabbed the old man's shirt and demanded aggressively.
"I don't know where he is, sir! Please believe me!" the old man struggled to reply.
"Hah, what's next?"
Suddenly, the crowd turned to the right...
The leader followed their gaze...
Detective Cappuccino arrived with his team.
"So, you're the newly transferred detective, huh?" The leader let go of the old man and walked toward Cappuccino.
Cappuccino and his team dismounted their horses.
"Ahh, you guys are here to make a scene," Cappuccino said calmly.
"Oh no, Mr. Cappuccino, we're just here to collect information about a certain someone who wears a black suit, carries a golden pistol, and rides a black horse."
"You already know that much? That's not enough, you stupid," Cappuccino replied, facing him directly.
The townspeople and cowboys were shocked.
Oh no, the detective just called their boss stupid; now he's going to pay, the cowboy members thought.
"Oh, yeah, you're right! Now I realize I don't know enough about him."
What?! He doesn't care? The members were astonished.
"See now? Get back to your boss and never come back," Cappuccino said, turning his back and walking toward his horse.
"But!! We still don't know where he is! If you help us, we'll reward you for it!"
Cappuccino stopped...
"I'm here to serve the people, not criminals. Now get out of my town," he said seriously.
"What? You're rejecting our offer, you spineless police bas—"
Suddenly, a bullet whizzed past him, grazing his hair...
He turned to see Cappuccino.
Cappuccino shot at him without turning around.
He held his gun behind his back and fired effortlessly.
The leader, his gang members, and the townspeople were in complete shock.
"It's not polite to call a police officer names, you know," Cappuccino said, turning to stare at him.
"What did you—" one of the other members approached, saying, "Boss, it's not the time for this!"
The leader realized his mistake.
"Nah, whatever. We're just wasting our time here. Come on, guys, let's get going."
The cowboys left town.
He shot at me without even looking. He's one hell of a shooter. Where did the government find a guy like him? the leader thought.
"Why did you let him go? You had the power to arrest him!" a townsman asked Cappuccino.
"What's the point of arresting someone who can easily escape due to their influence?" he replied, frustrated.
"I can only protect you people; I can't deliver the justice you're hoping for. So just wait for now."
The townspeople listened closely.
"That kid will bring you the justice you're looking for," he added with a smile.
The people seemed uplifted by his words.
MEANWHILE...
David finally reached another town after traveling 25 km.
"Ahh, I finally made it! I'm so freaking tired. I need to eat until my stomach bursts!"
Blacky, his horse, looked at him sadly.
"Okay, okay, I'll buy food for you too, so stop making that stupid face," he said, petting Blacky.
"Hey, I just remembered! In this map that old man gave me, I didn't see the name of the town. What was it?"
"Ohh!! It's 'NEW TOWN!'" he read aloud.
