"What happens after that?" David asked.
"After that, we were taken into his custody, and we came to America. We were slaves to him and his men, but thankfully we didn't face any sexual harassment because one of Lincoln's wives took care of us. Still, she could only prevent that kind of abuse; we lived in hell. We were beaten, forced to eat disgusting leftovers, and kept in cages like animals for about twelve years."
"And then one day, when Lincoln left the territory on business, the police came. They saw us and suspected we were part of his group. But thanks to one of Lincoln's wives, who had taken care of us, she declared that we were not part of that group. She said, 'These two are from the new town, and the group are the ones who kidnapped them. Let them go, detective.'"
"I thought the police wouldn't believe her, but they did, and the officer dropped us off in this town."
"Wow, good police still exist, huh?"
"Yeah, he even gave us some money and told us his name was Cappuccino. He said if we were ever in trouble, we should contact him."
David was shocked. "What, Cappuccino?" he shouted.
"Yeah, you know him!" She was a little excited.
"Yeah, barely. He helped me find the territory."
"Amazing, right?"
"Yeah, that bastard is really something else."
I'm glad I left the village to him; he's a good man, David thought. He helped both of us, and we made it because of him. Maybe it's fate that brought us together, I guess, Josie thought.
"Anyway, enough of your story. Let's talk about the territory so we can figure out how to deal with them."
"Right, but before that, we need to introduce ourselves properly. My name is Josie Blackwood. It's nice to meet you." She offered her hand with a smile.
"Ah! Okay, then. My name is David Colt. It's nice to meet—" He suddenly stopped, withdrawing his hand.
"What's wrong?"
David heard the sound of guns reloading.
"Lay down!" he shouted.
They were shooting at the house from all directions, nonstop.
After a minute, the shooting stopped.
"Hey boss, it's clear now."
"Okay, then. Go inside, men," the boss shouted.
One of the men walked toward the door.
The house was riddled with holes, and moonlight streamed in.
David saw the enemies through the holes they had shot.
"Hey!! Josie!"
"What?"
"Make sure nobody enters through the main door."
They both spoke silently.
"Here, take my gun." He threw a mini-gun to her.
"What's this small gun?" Josie thought.
"If anyone enters, shoot without a second thought. If you don't, you'll be dead."
"What? Why me? Aren't you going outside to fight them? Ugh! I'm a sniper, not a gunslinger!" She was a little mad.
David took three steps back to the wall where the holes were.
"Don't worry; I'm going outside."
She looked confused. "You can't be serious!"
"I'll take them on here and now."
She was shocked.
One of the men reached the door and was about to open it.
Bang...
Suddenly, one of the men got shot in the back.
He turned around, and Josie shot him again.
All the men were stunned, and in that moment, everyone was shot by bullets coming from the house.
The whole gang took cover behind the trees.
"Where are those bullets coming from?" one of the men asked.
"I don't know! Is somebody shooting at us from far away?"
"No."
Two of them looked at the man, who was the boss of the gang. He looked normal, a Black American wearing a flower-printed shirt with full sleeves and black pants.
"Then who is shooting?"
"That boy!! We shot up the whole house, created holes, and he took advantage of it to shoot us through them!"
"How is that possible? We shot the house with pistols and rifles, not a cannon."
"Yeah, but if you're trained hard enough, you can shoot through anything. It's just difficult, but he's doing it easily. That's an impressive boy."
Why is he appreciating the enemy? the two of them thought.
Suddenly, someone threw a smoke bomb outside the house.
"No sh*t! They figured it out! Now we have to esca—"
The boss entered the house through the ceiling.
David and Josie were shocked.
The next second, David tried to shoot him, but he kicked David before he could pull the trigger.
He turned to Josie and punched her jaw; she passed out.
"Oh no!! She passed out," David thought.
David shot him in the body, but the boss didn't seem affected.
The bullet didn't penetrate; my bullets are gold and can pierce a normal vest. Then he must have an extraordinary vest. I have no choice; I have to shoot him in the ear, David thought.
"You're so kind, kid."
David looked up.
It was a flash grenade.
He tried to get away, but the grenade exploded.
David's eyes were blinded; he couldn't see anything.
The boss took the opportunity to hit him in the stomach.
David broke through the wall and fell outside.
Everyone in the gang surrounded him, pointing their guns at him.
David got up, realizing there was no way to escape.
The boss walked toward David.
"Surrender, boy, or you and your girlfriend will die here."
"She's not my girlfriend, you idiot!" he shouted angrily.
If I fight back, it might put her in danger, and if I try to escape, I'll end up with major injuries. If that happens, I can't fight Aden, and that would be a worse scenario. It's better to surrender, David thought.
"Okay, I surrender. Just don't hurt her, okay?"
"Ahh, what a couple I see."
"I told you, we're not a couple, dammit!" David was furious.
"Doesn't matter; tie them both up and bring them to the territory."
The boss got on his horse.
"Got it, boss!" the others shouted.
He surrendered easily. Why? Maybe he was up to something or was genuinely surrounded and couldn't do anything. Nothing matters, I guess.
The gang members tied them up and brought them to Aden's territory.
ADEN TERRITORY, RADIO TENT
The boss of the gang was trying to connect with someone.
In this world, people used radios to communicate. If you have a radio device and another person has a talker device, it's similar to a walkie-talkie. If both devices are set to the same frequency, you can talk to each other. For example, if the radio device is set to 98.23 frequency and the talker device is set to the same frequency, you can communicate. The problem is that if you have a small radio device, its coverage is limited, which varies with the size of the device. Only six people in this world have the biggest radio, which allows them to talk to the entire world. Three of the radios are owned by the government, while the others belong to wealthy individuals.
IN A BAR
Aden had some business dealings in a bar with two businessmen.
"Hello, boss. Can you hear me?" the boss spoke through the radio device.
Aden picked up the talker. "Yeah, I can hear you. What's the matter?"
"Ahh, boss, you know the boy who killed your brother, right? I captured him."
"Oh, that's good to hear. Does he have that gun, right?" Aden smiled creepily.
"Oh, that's the golden pistol, right? Yeah, we got it."
"Good job, Sikander. I'll be there soon."
"Got it, boss."
The connection cut off, and Aden put his talker in his pocket.
"Oh, sorry about that. What were we talking about?" Aden smiled.
"Ahh! Aden, we are offering 8 million for that gun—"
"Yeah, yeah, but we can't do that," Aden interrupted.
"Why?" the two businessmen asked.
"Because it's worth much more than you think."
"Ahh! Come on, Aden, it's just a weapon! Besides, there's no way anyone else would pay that much for it."
"I don't care if no one else will buy it. I'm keeping it for myself," Aden said, a little angrily.
"Nahh! I don't think that's going to work. We have to kill you and take that gun!" they said menacingly.
"Oh, you can try that."
Suddenly, the two businessmen kicked the table.
The table flew up into the air.
The two businessmen charged at Aden.
Aden was ready to punch them both, but suddenly they separated.
One businessman tried to punch him while the other aimed to shoot him.
But Aden saw the bullet coming and punched slowly.
He dodged the punch and the bullet, then kicked the man who had tried to shoot him.
Both fell to the ground.
Aden walked toward them.
"Hey, wait! Why don't we talk this through?" one businessman said fearfully.
"Yeah, right. We'll buy the gun and give you 12 million. How does that sound?" the other businessman suggested.
"Seems like you two still don't understand anything."
The two of them were confused.
"You don't know anything about guns. The sniper I offered you is worth around one and a half billion."
The two businessmen were shocked.
"And you're offering meMillion for that sniper," Aden said madly
"Why it's that so costly ahh you trying to fool us"
"I am not fooling you that sniper who made it by a great weapon maker"
"His name is Ken"
"What"
Bang...
