The hardwood door leading to the outside hallway swung open gently, creaking on it's slightly rusted metal hinges. A figure clad in black clothing stepped out, heading towards the exit to the building; indicated by the same oak door found on on the wall opposite to the many doors leading to dormatory rooms.
Heading downstairs, Tre opened the door leading to the outside. The only difference between the dormitory doors and the door of the building was a small pane of glass in the middle of the hardwood; which wasn't present on the dormitory entrys.
The moonlight's radiant glow shone upon the weathered grey stone present throughout the entire school campus, illuminating every crack within the old stone.
Walking through the campus, the cold breeze of the night air gnawed on Tre's skin, although he kept walking with benign indifference.
Tre never truly got a good look at the campus' structure, as he was easily distracted by the many students that he encountered.
The stone buildings lay in an orderly fashion, with about 20 or 30 buildings scattered around. He hadn't noticed the smaller buildings between the larger ones before; they existed beside some of the larger buildings, forming eerie alleyways filled with darkness.
Tre considered the relationship he should form with the students within the school; particularly that of Eirini.
'She took a risk in creating a science club. Knowing the risk, she nust have done that to fish out any students that may be interested. I don't want to know any of these nobles, but she is probably the only one I wouldn't kill if I met them in Eurus, that desert hell.. a follower of science is always an ally.'
Tre swallowed down his guilt, remembering a not so distant past, before something caught his eye.
'Hm..? A person?'
A figure cloaked in the darkness of the night was scaling the orange brick wall of the dormitory, heading towards one of the rooms on the higher floors.
'An assassin? Is this school's security for show?'
Drawing closer to the figure on the wall,Tre spoke in a clear tone in the direction, craning his neck upwards.
"What are you doing? Why are you on the wall?"
Tre didn't care for the nobles within the school, but.. this was now his home too.
The figure almost seemed as if it was startled by the sudden voice from below, slowly looking down from their position, about 4 or 5 floors high.
The slowly starting descending, gripping onto each brick slowly.
Their figure came into view, revealing the ordinary school outfit that was veiled by the night and their green hair which made them stick out even amongest the groups of teens who think they're the centre of the world.
'This idiot..'
Tre didn't feel any malice coming from the teen who just now reached the ground, but their actions seem almost unexplainable.
"What are you doing, climbing the dorm walls for, Guac?"
The teen sheepishly looked Tre in the eyes, smiling like an idiot.
"Haha.. so uh.. I came out of the healing facilities a little bit ago- thanks for that by the way, that was.. a humbling experience, to say the least.. anyway, I realised that I had locked my dormitory door, and I suppose I lost the key somewhere.. and since it's so late, I can't just get a replacement, so I.. wanted to climb the wall real quick to get in my dorm."
Tre looked at the young man, slightly stunned by the dishevelled boy's frantic explanation.
"Why don't you just.. unlock it?"
Guac looked at Tre, a confused look clearly displayed on his face.
"Uh.. Tre, you do know doors work.. right? You need a key to open a locked door-"
"Of course I know how doors work you idiot. I mean, just pick the lock of the door"
Guac stroked his chin thoughtfully.
"Mhm.. mhm.. so, what is.. picking a lock?"
Tre's face scrunched upon hearing this response.
'How does he not known something as basic as this..?'
"Picking a lock is controlling the components within the lock-"
Tre cut himself off, thinking of a better way to say it.
"It's messing with the insides of the lock and stuff to unlock it."
Guac looked a little disheartened at this response.
"I'm not dumb, you know.."
"I never thought you were. Everyone is good at something, I suppose. You probably know things that I wouldn't know the first thing about. It's just.. I thought lock picking was common sense."
The young man ran his hand through his hair, massaging his left temple.
"I wouldn't say so.. anyway, are you able to.. lock pick my lock? Please?"
...
Tre wanted to think to himself about the school and what his plan of action should be in the silence of the night, but this sudden encounter has pretty much ruined that.
"..I suppose."
The green haired boy gleefully smiled as he led Tre back into the dormitories which he had just left. They had to go around the side, since the young noble had been trying to climb up from the side of the building.
As Guac entered through the oak entrance, Tre begrudgingly followed suit.
