Some years later, I was with Michael at Thorpe Park, a popular amusement park in London. We spent the day watching Michael have the time of his life with our kids, who were around his age. I sat on a bench with a lady, chatting and enjoying the sunny day.
Suddenly, a little girl ran up to me and handed me a cup of ice cream.
"Someone sent me to give this to you," she said with a smile.
I was taken aback.
"Who is that someone?" I asked the little girl.
She looked around nervously.
"The young one standing over there," she said, glancing around cautiously.
"He was wearing a black mask, but he paid me not to say his name or tell you where he was."
With that, she ran back to her friends, leaving me curious. I scanned the crowd, trying to spot the mysterious young man.
