I need to take the kids to school because they would be late if I didn't take them to school myself. Priscoll looked disturbed.
"Honey, you're going to be late for work," I said.
He nodded. "Don't worry, I won't."
I came close to him and kissed him.
"Bye, kids," Priscoll said.
The kids waved their little hands.
"Bye, Daddy!" they chimed in unison.
As we stepped out of the house and got into the car, Priscoll watched us drive away before turning to head back inside.
He was sipping his coffee and getting ready for another day at the office when he caught a breaking news report on TV.
The anchor's serious tone immediately grabbed his attention.
