Jamal leaned back against the worn-out couch, his eyes fixed on Tommy, as he took out a cigarette and lit it, the flame casting a warm glow on his face.
"So, Kentucky, huh? How's it over there, G?" He asked, his voice smooth, like honey.
Tommy shrugged, his shoulders barely rising off the worn couch. His eyes gazed off into the distance, his mind transported back to the streets of Kentucky.
"It's... different," he said, his voice laced with a hint of nostalgia. "Friends was younger, but we had each other's backs. It's tough everywhere, but we managed." His words trailed off, lost in the memories of his past.
Reggie nodded, his eyes softening, his expression understanding. "Yeah, man. It's the same here. Gotta stick together, you know?" He said, his voice low and even, but laced with a hint of empathy.
