"He's here."
His entry wasn't rushed or explosive. He slowly pushed his way through the ceiling, a white energy wrapping his fabrics and his near perfect skin from any tear or harm that could be caused by the rough jagged rocks that surrounded him.
He gingerly landed on his feet. Any dust particle that later fell on him was vaporized immediately.
"G... Goodmorning Sir."
He briefly looked at the doctor's hand...
"..."
"How's he doing?"
...And ignored it.
"H... He's...S... Still..."
"..."
"...Hah..."
"Sooooo, no progress..."
"I... It's proving to be a little hard to pull him..."
"I thought I told you yesterday that I wanted him up as soon as possible... Hmm?"
"I... Indeed Sir b... but the injuries that he has..."
"Injuries?"
"..."
"What injuries?"
The doctor was still silent.
"Please don't make me repeat myself."
"No! No! No! No Sir! Definitely Not Sir!"
It was a feeble attempt to save himself.
"No what?"
"He will be up soonest as possible."
"That's good news and all but you see you said something interesting back then."
"I... I'M SO S... SORRY SIR!"
The figure slightly winced.
"Hey, don't shout. I've got some realllyy sensitive ears and I think you know that."
"S... Sorry sir."
He sighed.
"What's wrong with this place? A fucking stammerer as the head? Hmm?"
The figure tightly gripped the doctor's shoulder. There was a slight crack, but he didn't dare to make a sound.
"Tell me, uh... Pedro, is it my fault that he looks like that?"
The rest watched the scene silently. Few blinked away tears. They already knew that the man's life was dangling by a thread.
The figure mockingly gasped.
"Wooww. You even got a few crying for you."
The grip lessened.
"Fine. I guess I'll forgive you for their sakes."
"And plus, I also had a nice day today."
"But actions deserve reactions, don't they?"
"Par...?"
Pedro's tongue hung loose. Part of his mouth was gone.
He could only make croaking sounds as blood gushed forth.
"Disgusting."
The mangled piece of flesh and bone burned in his grasp and within no time vanished into nothingness.
"Your mouth sinned against me."
Some of his colleagues rushed to help him.
"And I cannot overlook it. I stand for purity, you know?"
The figure slowly started floating off the ground.
"I'll be back Pedro. It's in your best wishes to have prepared what I've asked for."
"Or it won't be your mouth only that's missing."
"This also goes to the rest of you."
"You lot are veerryy replaceable."
"..."
"See you soon."
With a boom, the figure flew away.
One doctor started signing.
"And to think it was still in its initial stages. The drug worked wonders."
The other doctor signed back.
"But our actions did not go unpunished."
The two doctors looked at their senior who now had a device assembling itself on his lower jaw and down to his throat.
They continued.
"The senior knew what he was doing."
"And still went along with it."
"..."
The two doctors looked at the heavily thickened circular iron door at the far end of the hall.
"He really found a nice friend."
"I'm jealous."
"..."
"My thoughts and prayers go to all the families that were affected yesterday."
"Thank you so much Gaia."
"Now on a more positive note, a little bird told me that you have something massive that you're planning to do soon."
The students sat silently also listening to the interview from the teacher's phone.
"Yes. As a matter of fact, I'm almost wrapping up with my most recent project, Green Earth. Just some places requiring some final touches and then I'll be off."
"Off to where?"
"There."
Gaia was pointing at something.
"..."
"What...?"
"Attention...! Attention...!"
The teacher paused the video.
"The students are required to report to the first hall immediately. I repeat..."
He didn't even look up from the screen.
With his thumb pointing to the door,
"You heard the lady."
"Go."
"I wanted to hear more though..."
Once the students were gone, the teacher resumed the video.
"But the chances of surviving are usually slim to none."
"Come on don't be that negative. If you actually look at the brighter side, with all that I have actually absorbed from Earth, I could be on the same league with the likes of Red Wrath."
"And Dawnbringer?"
A snap tried to draw in her attention, but she ignored it. Two consecutive snaps followed after, ignored. Three more snaps...
Gaia interrupted.
"It's ok. Don't worry about it."
"So, about Dawnbringer...
"Tell us."
"...hmm"
"I'm not too sure about him."
"Why so?"
The teacher paused the video once more.
"Yeah, this looks like it's going to be a long one."
"I'll need to change my scenery then."
The lecturer was the last to leave the classroom.
"..."
"What's with all that smoke...? Is he doing it again...?"
Park was the last to get in.
"..."
"..."
"Were you the one..."
The professor briefly held his head.
"Ugh. What's happening..."
"Uh... Sir?"
At that moment Allen intervened.
"What's up with him?"
"Nothing that should worry you."
"I thought I warned you about jumping when you're excited."
"Just grab a seat and make sure your limbs are all within the square. Once the light is up, you'll see the rest that your supposed to do."
"Good luck."
With this he left Allen attending to the professor.
Distorted sounds came from within the cuboid pillars of light.
"I guess this is my seat then."
He quickly made himself comfortable all his limbs within the square's perimeters of course.
"Now I just have to wait."
The four corners of the square lit up. Beams of light shot up to the ceiling, thickening along the way as they connected to each other.
~hum
A fingerprint thrummed in front of Park's face.
He placed his thumb on it.
<...>
A red jolt of electricity shot up from Park's hand and into the print system.
"Yeah, can't allow you to do that."
"..."
<@#C$%ONFIR! @MED>
"Easy."
The professor smiled.
"These look easy."
Park answered the first one and clicked next.
"Come on, there's already an A in my name. I was born for this."
Ugh...
...
Anyway, Park continued on with the questions blitzing past all the recurrent warnings.
"I need to hurry it's getting boring in here."
10 mins later.
<100/100>
{Ink's understanding has faintly improved]
His eyes trailed the white energy as it disappeared upwards.
And immediately his eyes were glued to something.
A number was vanishing.
"A hundred huh?"
"..."
"..."
"C... Can I go sir?"
The professor briefly looked at Allen then back at Park.
"Yes, you may."
Within no time the door went shut.
"..."
"Hey Allen."
"..."
"Come on..."
"What...?"
"Don't you think she'll be proud of him?"
"..."
"Yes."
"..."
"You're one heck of a boring guy. Just know that."
"..."
The twins let out a low whistle. A huge audience had turned for the long anticipated underground matches.
Betting booths, a caged ring and a multitude that was craving for the bloodiest battle that they could ever wished for. Everything was set.
"Here they come."
Figures dressed in black suits each adorning peculiar masks appeared.
"Looks like the cloaking worked. He looks just like everyone else."
"But he looks funny, now that he's actually smaller."
"By the way, did they find a substitute for number nine?"
They were looking at the figure sat at the ninth chair.
"Uh huh... What did they say...? hmm... Something along the lines of dummy magic? I think?"
"...oh..."
"AREEEE YOOUUU REEADDDYYYY FOORRRR TOOONNIIGGHHHTTT...!"
"I hope I see Kiba today."
"I swear one day you'll devour him alive."
Her cheeks went red hot.
"Uh... I... don't ... uh... I mean... Shut up!"
"Hehe Jackpot."
"No pots are jacking here..."
She grabbed him by the ears.
"...Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! I'm sorryyyyyyy...!"
"..."
"Now where are those two little rasca..."
"Calling us rascals is a little bit harsh don't you think."
She was pouting under the mask.
"Yeah!"
Her brother followed suit.
"Hah. Kids."
He whisked out two chocolate bars and waved them in front of the twins.
"Apology Accepted!"
"Apology Accepted!"
