Honey
"Is someone going to answer my question?" Connor asked.
"Your son has a problem with being told about his failings," I said in answer to Connor's question.
"Failings huh? And what failings might those be?" Connor asked, looking at me in interest.
"The fact that he is raising a pack of bullies for starters," I replied.
"Liam, is there bullying happening within this pack?" Connor asked, looking at Liam.
"She says there is, but I have never been aware of any bullying taking place within the pack," Liam replied.
"Honey, is there something you would like to tell me?" Connor asked, turning back to me.
"The Alpha of this pack denies there are any issues. So, I could talk until I am blue in the face, but it won't change anything because the Alpha of the pack is living in denial," I stated, knowing that it was pointless to air my grievances.
"That's it, I have had enough of you," Liam stated, gripping my arm tightly and moving towards the door once more.
"Where do you think you are taking her Liam?" Connor asked.
"She is going to spend some time in the cells. Maybe after twenty - four hours in there, she might actually appreciate just how good she has it here," Liam told him.
"You're going to put a child in the cells? Are you serious?" Cristi demanded, glaring at Liam.
"She's right. You can't put a child in the cells," Tony added.
"I am the Alpha. I can do whatever the hell I want," Liam shouted, glaring at Tony and Cristi.
"You see what I mean," I said to Connor.
"Okay, I think I have heard enough here. Liam, Honey will now be my responsibility," Connor told him.
"Excuse me?" Liam asked.
"You are not taking her away from us. She is a part of our family," Cristi insisted.
"She is still a part of your family. But from now on when she isn't in school or doing her studies. She will be with me," Connor explained.
"Doing what?" Liam asked.
"Never you mind. I will keep her out of your hair," Connor assured him. Connor reached out and grabbed my arm while prying Liam's fingers off of my arm. "Let's go little one," Connor said as he led me out the front door.
We walked towards a building that was a good distance behind the main pack house. The building was large, but aside from that there was nothing remarkable about it. We stopped at the main door and Connor got his keys out to unlock the door.
"What is this place," I asked him.
"This is the pack training facility," he replied, gesturing for me to walk through the door. I entered the room and he followed in behind me. The facility had a large open floor area for hand to hand combat training. There was a gym set up over to the left side of the building with an excellent selection of weights and cardio equipment. To the right side of the building there was a line of floor to ceiling mirrors. Straight ahead there was a couple of doors.
Seeing where I was looking, Connor said, "Through the door on the right there are locker rooms and showers. The door in the middle is the sauna, and the door on the left leads in to the bathroom facilities."
"This place is huge," I told him as I looked around taking everything in.
"It is," he agreed, nodding his head in agreement.
"So, why are we here?" I asked.
"Well, I figured you might be interested in learning how to fight. So, if you want to learn, I am happy to teach you," Connor replied.
"So… you're going to train me like the pack warriors train?" I asked, gazing at him in awe.
"Yes. But it is going to take a lot of work. Are you up for the challenge?" he asked.
"Definitely. Will there be any one else training with you?" I asked.
"No. Just you," he said.
I was relieved to hear that. None of the people who bullied me would be here to see me screw up during the learning process. Or would they?
"I can see you are relieved this will be a one on one lesson. We will train when the facility is empty," Connor said, breaking into my thoughts.
"When do we start?" I asked.
"How about now?" he replied, smiling at me.
I grinned at him and replied, "I like the way you think."
