Alfred felt as if his world has stopped,he immediately picked her up in is arms and rushed towards her room,while lord xerox rushed to get the physician,the party was in helter skelter,people were stunned ,murmurings were arising,
The king who everyone thought didn't care about calypso,rushed after Alfred,followed by Alondria.
The queen was displeased,calypso is bad luck, look how she crashed Gabrielle's soiree.
The physician came quickly and he and a maid were alone left with calypso in her bed chamber
After like what took forever,the physician steped out of the room. His expression not so good.
"What's wrong with her is she safe" the king asked.
"Yes your highness,she was lucky to be attended to on time,its actually food poison,a very deadly one." She's stable for now,but in case a fever arises,use cold towel to wipe her face,hands and legs"

Alfred gritted his teeth in anger,how audacious for a stupid senseless elf, try to poison his sister,he'll make sure he gets to the root of this.
"Lock the gates ,no one leaves this palace." He ordered with his voice laced in anger.
"Yes your majesty" the guards Bowed and went to carry out the orders,
Alondria who followed along heard that calypso was poisoned and she immediately solved the puzzle in her head,
"GABRIELLE" she mutterd underneath her breath. She immediately left with hasty footsteps.
"I really don't know what happened to her,maybe its her witchy deeds catching up with her,oh my poor sister" Gabrielle said further fueling calypsos situation,some noble ladies caught up with her earlier asking what happened to calypso.
Alondria came just in time to hear Gabrielle further badmouthing calypso.
She grabbed Gabrielle's arms,and dragged her to a more secluded are,
"Ouch,ALO! It hurts,what was that for"

she heard a commotion going on in the hall and she rushed there,investigations were carried out with immediate effect,Lord Kai and a few,pointed out the servant who served her a cup of wine,and the servant was ceased,he will be taken to the dungeon for further questioning.
Alondria saw the way fear flashed in Gabrielle's eyes when the servant was arrested,hmm so he's accomplice.
calypso's eyes fluttered open,she groaned shielding her eyes from the glaring sunlight coming from the window.
"Who lift the curtains?" she muttered.
She slowly sat up,and was wondering why she's feeling pain all over her body.
Her eyes snapped open when she recalled what happened.
"I was poisoned" she whispered with tears in her eyes,it's surprising how she could be poisoned even in her home.

Can she really call this place home?

suddenly the door banged open and she saw the face she least expected.her father.
She wanted to roll her eyes but she can't even if she don't like him he's still the king.
the king looked so worried he sat by the edge of her bed.she forrowed her brow
,'why the hell is he acting like he cares' she thought.
"Your hair is growing quite fast"
It is? Wow she never noticed,
"Yeah" she muttered.
"How are you feeling now child"

"Fine" she answered.
"Calypso am really sorry,am so sorry you got hurt,its all my fault,I should pay more attention to the servants,the culprit has been apprehended and is in the dungeon"

The king was confused by her smirk and the look she's she's giving him.
Just then Alfred walked in,he beamed and strode toward her giving her a warm bear hug.
"Am so glad you're awake you got us all so worried"
He smiled.
"Xerox is in the drawing room waiting for you-"
"Why is xerox waiting for her?" The king asked with suspicion.
Alfred looked at the king with a silly expression and scratched his head,
"hmm nothing,just to greet her"
"Well lord Kai sends his greeting too,and he'll be coming to see her " the king beamed,calypso and Alfred both gave him a suspicious look,
"Well see you at around my girl" he beamed,and surprisingly he pulled her into a warm embrace,calypso felt tears gathering in her eyes,her heart filled with warmth,this is the first time her father ever hugged her this way.why is he suddenly acting like he care,why now?
The king withdrew from the embrace,his also red with unshed tears.
he smiled and left the room with slow strides.
"Hmm Urm urm,so-"
"Why is father acting strange?"
She asked with a cracked voice,Alfred shrugged "I dunno".
"Come on get dressed,I'll be outside,"
He beamed and left.
"Why are they both acting strange" she asked no one in particular.
She was hit with another big surprise when two maids came to attend to her on the kings order,saying. they are appointed as her ladies in waiting.all her life,she has never had any lady in waiting or maids at her beck and call,what changed now?
She stared as her self from the mirror wih a smile her father was right,her hair is growing quite fast .
After some minutes she was done and the maids escorted her to the drawing room.
"Oh my! You look beautiful as always my princess" xerox beamed,he stood up and took her small frail hands in his,bending to give it a light peck.
Calypso blushed by his gesture,
"How are feeling"
"Better now,thanks for coming to check on me"
