The quiet atmosphere at the table was disrupted by the twins who came running in, giggling.
"You're really pretty." Julie murmured as she looked up at Lisa, her silver eyes gleaming with admiration.
"Thank you." Lisa smiled sweetly at the child.
"You're welcome." Julie said before Kim came and stood by her side.
"Are you going to marry Uncle Lian?" Kim asked and Lisa momentarily froze while Lian clasped her hand beneath the table.
She glanced at him and he offered her a reassuring smile.
"You are going to be our aunt?" Julie added, her small voice excited.
"Maybe I will some day." Lisa replied in the best way she could without lying.
"Some day!?" Senior Que asked and, every adult around that was not Lisa or Lian stifled a laugh.
"Soon, very soon dad." Lian smiled as he held onto Lisa's hand beneath the table.
"Good. Welcome to the family, child." Senior Que smiled at Lisa and Lisa nervously smiled back.
