Chapter 15 - Union & Strength

With the efficiency of the growing plantation, more than a thousand men working on it every day, it was providing valuable food for 30% of the city's population, with this number increasing daily. Thanks to the people's unity in defending the plantation, neither the mayor nor his councilors and secretaries were happy.

After this incident, Kiros knew the level of trust he could place in Mayor Maclaus: almost none, as it was clear that if the city hall had an opportunity, they would overthrow him and his allies without hesitation.

Wolferos, as strange as it might seem, was a simple-spirited werewolf, enjoying simple things. Being an experienced fighter and leader of the SS Wolveria, he grew tired of dealing with politics, preferring to solve things with violence. Seeing an easy and simple solution, and with the total agreement of his fellow werewolves, he annexed the SS to Kiros' group, forcing Kiros to change some things, including the group's name, which no longer suited them well. They would be the Patriotic Guard of Kidonia, accepting all who were willing to march for a better Kidonia.

Of course, the Patriotic Guard would also have its political representation, with Mickey Von Maus II taking the initiative to create the party, which quickly gained support from those who had only survived thanks to the runic potatoes and their derivatives from Kiros' plantations. With the size of the faction, the name was very ambitious, but it was what the high leadership had in mind for their future. Mobilizing as a paramilitary political force with 5,000 fighters ready to act and another 5,000 being trained, the city of Gastros began to experience a tense pre-war atmosphere.

In the meantime, while all this was happening, Kiros had reached the second level of power, becoming one of the few in the city with such individual power. The way things were going, it was only a matter of time before a war broke out in the city, if it weren't for a messenger from the reconnaissance unit coming running to warn Kiros that mounted goblins were approaching the city in large numbers, turning the golden wheat fields around the Gastros region green.
