Chapter 4 - Dark Revelations

Kiros remained stunned before the golden armor that now enveloped his body. He felt its weight as a tangible reminder of his legacy and the stories he had just uncovered about his parents, Firolaw and Magdalena Ultratus. The sharp headache still reverberated, bringing painful memories and revelations that haunted him.

Lyra, still kneeling before him, watched with firm eyes and an air of respect mixed with concern. She reached out to Kiros, offering the medallion that had now become part of the armor.

"Kiros, they wanted you to know," Lyra said in a soft voice, but filled with meaning. "This medallion, this armor... they are legacies of a past we cannot forget."

Kiros hesitantly took the medallion. When he touched it, the golden metal turned into a bright liquid that merged with his skin, transforming into the armor that covered him completely. It was a strange sensation, a mix of power and responsibility that consumed him.

Before his eyes, a translucent panel materialized, revealing his information:

Kiros

16 years old

Arkanian

Power level: 1 (transformed 5)

Kiros tried to process it all, but the intensity of the new revelations left him disoriented. His mind echoed with images of parents he never knew, and the obscure circumstances that led to their deaths.

"Lyra..." Kiros began, his voice a whisper filled with emotion. "What more do you know about them? About what really happened?"

Lyra stood up slowly, her eyes meeting Kiros' with a mixture of sadness and determination. "Your parents were prominent figures in their time, Kiros. Firolaw was a renowned general of a fallen kingdom, and Magdalena, a princess he rescued from the shadows. Their love was a light in the darkness, but it also made them targets..."

Kiros nodded, his mind filled with questions he knew wouldn't have easy answers. The runic armor, a unique creation his parents left behind, was now his burden and his protection.

"And what does this mean for me now?" Kiros asked, looking at his new golden armor as if seeking answers it couldn't provide.

"It means you are connected to a complicated legacy, Kiros," Lyra replied honestly. "This armor is not just a physical defense, but a symbol of hope and a struggle that is far from over. You will have to discover what it means to be the heir of the Ultratus, and how to use that to change the fate of Kidonia."

Kiros swallowed hard, feeling the weight of Lyra's words. It wasn't just a matter of survival in the hostile streets of the Democratic Republic of Kidonia. Now, he had a greater purpose, a purpose that would lead him down dark and dangerous paths.

"It's time to act," Kiros muttered to himself, more to affirm than to convince.

Lyra nodded solemnly. "Yes, my lord. We are in this journey together. Prepare yourself for what lies ahead."

And so, Kiros and Lyra set off, leaving behind the comfort of uncertainty and embracing the dark challenge that awaited them. In their minds echoed the promise of discovery and danger, as they faced an uncertain future, determined to find answers that would shape their destiny and the destiny of everyone around them.
