Before Squeal and his enormous troop of rat-men could carry out their plans, they were accidentally attacked by another group, which was not entirely a criminal faction, but a paramilitary force with plans to establish themselves as the hegemonic power in the city of Gastros, known as SS Wolveria.
It was no wonder they had this name, as they were composed entirely of common wolves and evolved wolves, who, after evolution, acquired human forms. Entering the tunnels with their black armor and rune-carved 12-gauge shotguns, the force of only 500 men was decimating the numerous horde of rat-men as if they were nothing.
One of Kiros' spies heard the commotion and wondered what was happening. Observing the carnage, he realized there was a chance for his group and their forces to assist this unknown force in eliminating the biggest problem so far. Running to inform Kiros of what he had seen, the spy stumbled over the garbage scattered across the streets several times until he reached their base.
Recognized as Kiros' guardians, the force had received support from the local population for the order and organization they had established in the area. Meanwhile, Wolferos, the leader of the infamous SS Wolveria, was trying to understand what kind of deadly clash his elite reconnaissance force had gotten into.
Incorrect information had been given to him, and even after entering the rat-men's territory, he tried to pacify them since his objective was more distant and much more important than mere thieves and looters. It was something that would not only give them a chance to dominate the city but even the republic if everything went well.
Of course, thanks to the group's inexperience or infiltrated traitors, they did not care to learn more about the local factions or who might oppose them. What they were looking for was not a simple item but a gigantic structure, a magical construction over a thousand years old, preserved for being built underground.
The Magical Cannon Factory, which had been extensively used by the Kingdom of Magnus to produce their magical artillery in their battles against the dinosaur legions. It was a fully automated factory, needing only the raw materials (magic crystal and steel) and the press of a start button.
Why had they abandoned the production of these cannons? It was due to the economic and military decline of the Kingdom of Magnus. With corruption and moral depravity consuming everything, the factory was abandoned so that resources could be dedicated to other more urgent tasks.
