Chapter 11 - Chapter 9: Heartfelt Apology

Departing from the convenience store, Daniel felt a mix of emotions swirling within him. He had just handled a confrontation with Zack and his sidekicks, and now, he felt an overwhelming need to connect with someone who had always been there for him—his mother. As he walked home, he pulled out his phone and dialed her number. The phone rang a few times before her familiar, warm voice answered.

"Daniel? Is everything okay?" she asked, a hint of concern in her voice.

"Mom, I'm fine," he replied softly, trying to find the right words. "I just... I needed to talk to you."

There was a pause on the other end. "Of course, honey. What's on your mind?"

Daniel took a deep breath. "I wanted to apologize for everything. For all the times I caused you trouble, for not appreciating everything you did for me. I've realized just how much you've sacrificed, and I feel blessed to have you as my mother."

His mother was silent for a moment, and then she said, "Daniel, you don't need to apologize. Every parent goes through tough times, and we always do our best for our children. But hearing you say this... it means a lot to me."

As he walked, Daniel's mind drifted back to his past. He remembered the countless times his mother worked late shifts, sometimes taking on extra jobs just to make ends meet. She had always been there, a pillar of strength and love, despite the hardships they faced.

"I remember how you used to work so hard, Mom. You'd come home late, exhausted, but you never once complained. You always made sure I had everything I needed. You're incredible," Daniel said, his voice filled with emotion.

"Oh, Daniel," his mother responded, her voice trembling. "You were my motivation. Seeing you smile, knowing you were taken care of, that was all I needed to keep going."

Tears welled up in Daniel's eyes as he continued, "I took so much for granted. I didn't realize how hard you were working for us. I'm sorry for being such a burden. I want to make it up to you."

"You were never a burden," she insisted. "Raising you has been the greatest joy of my life. But it's wonderful to hear you say this. It shows how much you've grown."

Daniel thought about the times he had made things difficult for her—his rebellious phases, the fights, the moments of ingratitude. "I've done so many things wrong, and yet you've always been there, supporting me. I don't know how you managed to stay so strong."

"Because I love you, Daniel. That's what mothers do," she replied, her voice soft and loving. "And I see that strength in you now. You're becoming the person I always knew you could be."

"I want to do better, Mom. I want to take care of you the way you took care of me. I don't want you to worry about money or anything else anymore. You deserve to rest and enjoy life," Daniel vowed, determination in his voice.

His mother's voice was filled with pride and warmth. "You're already doing so much, Daniel. Just hearing this from you is more than enough. But if there's one thing I could ask, it's for you to be happy and healthy. That's all I ever wanted."

"I will, Mom. I promise," Daniel said, his voice cracking with emotion. "I'll make sure you're proud of me every day."

"I'm already proud of you, sweetheart. Every single day," she replied.

As he walked through the streets, Daniel felt a renewed sense of purpose. His thoughts were filled with memories of his mother's unwavering love and support. He remembered the nights she stayed up late, sewing clothes for extra income, the mornings she woke up early to make him breakfast, and the countless times she encouraged him to follow his dreams, even when they seemed impossible.

"I remember the dress I choosed and you bought once, Mom," Daniel said, his voice full of nostalgia. "You wore it until it was threadbare. I saw a similar dress today, and it made me think of you."

"That dress was special because it came from your choice son " she said softly. "I wore it with pride."

"I'm going to buy you another one with my own money , Mom and very soon you wont have to keep working hard each day ,also want to let you know I have make some good friends mom...Two friends thats are like brother to me and one of my friend with the same name as myself lives with myself in the same house in order to tackle to issue of rent and all so dont you dare over worry mom..And take more care of yourself and spend some more money on yourself or take rest from extra jobs and work that you had to do for me mom... This time, you won't have to worry about money or anything else. I want you to have the best of everything," he declared.

His mother chuckled lightly. "It's not about the money, Daniel. It's the thought and love behind it. But thank you. It means the world to me."

They continued to talk, sharing memories and dreams for the future. Daniel felt a deep connection with his mother, stronger than ever before. As he approached his home, he made a silent vow to himself: he would work tirelessly to ensure his mother's happiness and well-being. He would make her proud, not just in words but through his actions.

"Mom, I have to go now, but I want you to know how much I love you. You're the best mother anyone could ask for," Daniel said as he reached his doorstep.

"I love you too, Daniel. Always," she replied.

Ending the call, Daniel felt a profound sense of peace and motivation. He entered his home, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that his mother's love and support would always be with him. This newfound resolve would drive him to achieve greatness, not just for himself, but for the woman who had given him everything.
