Chapter 13 - Chapter 11:Normalcy and Strategic Training

For the next few days, as usual Daniel Park focused on rigorous training and careful observation. Both of his bodies, the original and the perfect, were dedicated to this routine, ensuring they were in top condition. Daniel understood that building strength and strategy was essential before making any significant moves in the complex power dynamics of Seoul.

Daniel had always admired Vasco and his Burn Knuckles crew for their dedication to protecting the weak and standing against bullies. However, he recognized that they needed more specialized training to truly make an impact. He decided to use his extensive knowledge from both his lives to develop a tailored regimen for each member

Vasco, or Euntae Lee, was the heart of Burn Knuckles. His sheer determination and sense of justice were unmatched, but his strength and technique needed honing. Daniel designed a training program focused on enhancing Vasco's raw power and endurance, complementing it with techniques from Muay Thai and Close Quarters Combat (CQC). The goal was to turn Vasco into a force of nature, someone who could take on any opponent with devastating strength and precision.

Jace Park's Training

Jace Park was the brains of the group, often using strategy over brute force. Daniel saw potential in Jace to become a more formidable fighter. He introduced Jace to Systema, a Russian martial art that emphasizes flexibility, movement, and breathing, combined with the basics of Kyokushin Karate to improve his striking power. This training would enhance Jace's ability to think on his feet and defend himself more effectively.

The Four Uncles of Burn Knuckles had a unique obsession with being the "swords and sabers" of the group. Daniel saw an opportunity to channel this obsession into something practical. He introduced them to Kali Arnis, a Filipino martial art that focuses on weapon-based fighting. This training would not only satisfy their fascination with weapons but also make them deadly in close combat, providing Burn Knuckles with a versatile edge.

As Daniel trained, he also spent time analyzing the broader landscape of Seoul's underground world. His knowledge of the original story and his keen observation skills allowed him to identify key players and potential allies.

Daniel knew that the Four Major Crews—Workers, Big Deal, Hostel, and God dog (can't say a crew since it has always only one member but due to the power he hold he alone satisfies the condition to be one of the four major crew and his name is johan seong the god dog) and the center of seoul comes under Burn Knuckles. The four major crews are the four biggest gangs in Seoul divided by the Han River into five regions: North, West, East, and South and center. They held significant sway over the city's underworld. He planned to gather information on their activities and find ways to influence them subtly.

The Four Major Crews have their own jurisdictions on all four sides of Seoul, with central Seoul remaining neutral. Each gang is responsible for paying a Hundred Million won (86,000 USD) as a monthly fee. While they were encouraged to earn their money through legal methods, illegal methods were expected and quietly allowed as long as they weren't caught. The four crews are divided as follows.

North Seoul: Gangbuks God Dog--Before Johan entered the picture, the Gangbuk region was ruled over by K-House, a crew run by Jin Jang whose main business is fake bank accounts. They would rule undisturbed until Johan Seong appeared, he wanted to rule over this region to impress Gun and become his successor. It was the only way to get on Charles Choi's good side and get his mom her surgery. He defeated every grew in Gangbuk by himself and K-house was no different. After his takeover, he would change its name to God Dog, creating a new crew out of the collection of various Gangbuk crews he defeated in the past.

West: Big Deal (Gangseo)--Big Deal is most likely the oldest of the four major crews as it has a history in Gangseo with multiple heads. Not much is known about their origins but they were seen as just another gang, that was until "The Boy of Promise" Sinu Han joined the gang. Due to his dedication and devotion to protecting the street that took him in, he joined Big Deal in order to rise up the ranks and become the new "Big Boss" and use the gang to protect the street. He would eventually accomplish that and took over the gang, he would make some adjustments to the gang's belief system to make life easier for the girls who lived on that street.

East: Hostel (Gangdong)--Hostel was founded by Eli Jang as a nickname for the family he created out of his orphaned friends.[1] The name is in English and each letter represents the Korean name of his friends:

H for Hyun (Eli)

O for Onseok (Warren)

S for Serim (Sally)

T for Taenggu (Max)

E for Eunggoo (Derrick)

L for Lyon (Ryan the cat)

He gave each of the members of Hostel a role in the family: Eli was the father, Sally was the mother, Warren/Max/Derrick were uncles. Heather and Olly were friends of Sally, but they were not given letters because they were not orphans

The original purpose of Hostel was to give a home to kids without one. However, when Eli defeated the leader of Backdoor he created a power vacuum in the region. Jerry Kwon of Big Deal and Johan Seong of God Dog quarreled over the rights to the region, but Gun rejected both of their cases and made Hostel into one of the 4 big crews.[2] Eli Jang established the runaway family to collect money for Gun to maintain their position, but quit his job when he realized he had neglected to care for his girlfriend Heather. He then disappeared with his child and left Hostel void of leadership.Hostel A follows a point organization where higher members contact lower members of the gang and not vice versa.[3] At the bottom of the hierarchy are the runaway fams, groups of homeless children who earn money for Hostel. They usually earn it through illegal means like prostitution scams or petty theft. The use of children and teenagers to pay for Hostel's dues is why other gangs call Hostel the "worst criminal organization."

Leaders of runaway fams are called "Dads" or "Moms". They have a tattoo of a lowercase 'h' to signify their status in Hostel, and they report to executives to pay their membership fees. Leaders cannot contact their higher ups easily, so it is easy for executives to cut them off.

Hostel B consists of the remaining members of the original Hostel. Max and Derrick left to earn money for a time period[6] and Ryan was adopted by Jerry Kwon.[7] Warren chose to stay to keep his promise to protect Sally and keep her company. Their motto is to give a home to the lost children of the Gangdong region and fulfill Eli Jang's original goal. There is no sophisticated organization. Instead, they refer to themselves as family members: Eli is the father (Big Daddy), Warren, Max and Derrick are uncles, Sally is the mother (Big Mama).

South: Workers (Gangnam)--Workers was originally described by Jace as "beyond a teenage level," and they are seen as more of "an enterprise than a crew." They are known to be hard to locate, as they dress like a typical professional person.

The Workers Head Chairman is Eugene who was scouted by Goo.[4]

Workers is composed of 4 Branches:

4th Affiliate lead by Alexander Hwang and executive Samuel Seo; earns money through online illegal streaming;

3rd Affiliate with Vivi as the head and several executives, including Xiaolong; they sell drugs at their club.

2nd Affiliate has Neko (Mitsuki) as its president. They run a circus where they force criminals to play gruesome games where an audience bet on the players. They used to run a fighting den prior.

1st Affiliate has Hangyeoul Baek as its president. They have Plastic Surgery in Gangnam as it's business and currently Reinforced by White Tiger Job Centre, and more. Other Information still unknown but they are probably protecting Jinyoung Park against the people who want to get him and he's considered as Charles Choi's weakness.these were all he has knowledge from cannon of lookism and For now, his focus was on understanding their dynamics and identifying individuals who could be potential allies.

Burn Knuckles: Daniel's immediate focus was on strengthening Burn Knuckles. By enhancing their training and unity, he hoped to create a model for other crews to follow—a group that used their strength to protect and uplift the weak.

During this period, Daniel also gathered information about other key characters in the underground scene. He carefully observed and analyzed individuals like Jin Jang from God Dog, Samuel Seo, and others from the Workers' Fourth Affiliate. These were people who had been pushed into their current circumstances by forces beyond their control. Daniel saw the potential to steer them towards a more positive path if approached correctly.

While training and observing, Daniel began formulating a detailed plan. His goal was to create a network of empowered individuals who could influence their communities positively. This involved not only physical training but also fostering a mindset of justice and integrity.

The training sessions with Burn Knuckles were intense. Daniel pushed Vasco, Jace, and the Four Uncles to their limits, constantly reminding them of their purpose. Each member began to show significant improvements, both in their physical abilities and their confidence.

Vasco: His strength and endurance skyrocketed. The Muay Thai techniques enhanced his striking power, while CQC training made him a formidable opponent in close combat. Vasco's determination never wavered, and he began to embody the ideal of a protector even more.

Jace: The Systema and Kyokushin Karate training transformed Jace into a more versatile and adaptive fighter. His strategic mind now had the physical prowess to back it up, making him a key asset in any confrontation.

The Four Uncles: Their fascination with weapons was now channeled into deadly skill. The Kali Arnis training made them proficient in weapon-based combat, adding a new dimension to Burn Knuckles' capabilities.

Daniel knew that these initial steps were just the beginning. The true challenge lay in expanding this training and mindset to other potential allies across Seoul. He envisioned a network where strength was used to protect, not oppress, and where each member was committed to passing on these principles to others just like Sinu han, Vasco and many previous generations legends.

As the days passed, Daniel's strategic mind continued to work on future prospects. He identified potential recruits and allies, planning how to approach them when the time was right. He understood that patience and careful planning were crucial to achieving his goals.
