Chapter 21 - CH21- Pietro + Hisako

"You're futures are very bright. You two will certainly live very happy lives with eachother." The old man stated with a kind old man smile.

I couldn't help but grin. Even though I didn't believe his words, that gave me enough confidence to finally ask her. I glanced towards her and saw her looking back at me.

She turned away quickly with a blush and faced the old man again.

"Thank you so much Mr.?"

"Ah, just call me Stan." He replied.

"Right, thank you so much Stan. We'll be leaving now." Hisako said. She grabbed my hand and quickly led us out the building. Once outside, I had a realization.

"Hisako, we didn't pay h-"

"Shh. I'm sure he would've stopped us if he cared. Now, what should we do now?" She asked, ignoring the crime we've committed.

'Well, we have done much worse crimes. Murder, breaking and entering, theft… I mean the list goes on.'

"Well, it's getting late, so maybe we should get back home?" I suggested.

"Lameee. Ooh! There's a carnival a few blocks down. Let's go there!" Hisako said, not really giving me much of a choice. She grabbed me by the hand for the nth time today and dragged me to the carnival.

'Sigh. This woman's gonna be the death of me.'

I woke up with a yawn and checked the time. It was 8pm, I sensed that Pietro and and Hisako were still out. Chris was asleep in his man cave and Wanda was in the living room watching TV. Over the last few days, we've already furnished the entire house.

I carefully unwrapped Laura from my body and went over to my phone laying on the desk. I grabbed my phone and stepped out of the room. I walked towards the front door to call Pablo. There was no reason to believe he wouldn't be up at this time.

"Where you going Ezzy?" Wanda asked curiously from the couch. I glanced over to the TV to see what she was watching and a small smile grazed my face.

'Naruto huh? That was my favorite anime in my past world. I wonder how different things would be if I reincarnated there instead of here?' I put that thought away and looked back towards Wanda.

"I have to make a phone call. I'll be back in a few minutes." She nodded and paid attention to the show. I opened the door and paused for a moment. I looked back at her and then to the TV.

"When I come back, can I join you? The show your watching looks interesting. You'll probably have to start from the beginning again." Wanda looked at me with a grin.

"Sure you can. You're always welcome Ezzy. I'll put it on the first episode and wait for you." I nodded at her and finally stepped outside. I closed the door behind me and pulled out my phone.

Once I found the contact I was looking for, I put the phone up to my ear and waited for him to answer.

["Yello?"] I heard Pablo say.

"Pablo, I need your help with something and I was wondering if there was a time and place we can meet tomorrow?"

["Is this another deal? Because you're not supposed to call my burner for this."]

"No Pablo that's not what this is. I'm trying to set something up and I require someone with your particular set of skills. Well, more like the people you know."

["Huh, what's in it for me?"]

"Let's say I'm creating a game, and if it's successful, you get a portion of the sales."

["Coffee Shop on Captain boulevard. 4:00 pm. Don't be late Azrael."] The call suddenly hung up. I sighed in slight annoyance, but it was overshadowed by the feeling of success.

'At least he's willing to help. His attitude is the least of my worries.' I put my phone back in my pocket and walked back inside. I sat beside Wanda on the couch with a sigh.

I put my head on her shoulder and looked towards the TV. Whenever I felt stressed out, I could only lean on the two most important females in my life right now. Wanda and Laura.

"Are you okay?" She asked, running her hand through my hair. It was a calming and soothing experience that I never want to let go of.

"It's just business. Always stressful. Can we watch the show now?" She nodded towards me and clicked play on the remote.

This was the first time I've ever been on a Ferris Wheel, and I have to say, I wish I could experience this with Wanda and Azrael too. Hisako was good enough company for now.

"Isn't it beautiful up here Pietro?" Hisako asked me. I found myself mesmerized by the colorful lights from all the other rides and machines nearby. The moonlight only added to the view and I found myself enjoying this experience more than I thought I would.

"Yeah. Yeah it is." I said, turning toward Hisako. The lights that glared against her face had perfectly encapsulated her beauty and I subconsciously leaned forward.

I felt my heart race immensely when I seen her reciprocating my actions. I closed my eyes and when I felt her soft lips against mine, it felt like fireworks going off within my heart. I never felt this before, it was addicting.

'This was my first kiss.' I thought embarrassingly. After we separated, we both leaned in for another. We continued this back and forth until we reached the bottom. With both of our spirits through the roof, I ran us home.

When Hisako unlocked the door, my heart warmed for the second time tonight. I saw Azrael laying in Wanda's lap asleep, while she caressed his hair and continued watching the show I learned to be called "Naruto." I personally like Dragon Ball more, but we all have our own tastes.

Looking at my two siblings, I remembered this exact scene as a child. But instead of Azrael asleep in her lap, she slept on his instead while the Dick Van Dyke show played in the background.

"He falls asleep fast." Wanda remarked with a smile. Her eyes widened when she looked at Hisako. Then a smirk crossed her face. She didn't say anything, but I understood she knew what happened.

"Goodnight Wanda."

"Goodnight Pietro."
