Chapter 26 - CH26- Yes Sensei

"Fight!"

The Daughter of the Dragon was wearing a white hoodie and pants. The hood was over her head so I couldn't clearly see what was underneath it. What I did see was that she was clearly at a disadvantage.

The two men in front of her were much larger than her. Initially I doubted whether or not she would win, but I had to acknowledge the world I was in.

'In this world, literally anything is possible.' As the fight went on, I quickly understood just how good of a martial artist she was. Despite the stature of these men, she was hitting them with moves they couldn't react to.

She spin kicked one man, but was quickly caught off guard by the other one and suffered a punch from the other. Just then, her hood flew off and I saw her face.

She was clearly of Asian descent and her appearance was very similar to that of Hisako. That leads me to believe that she could be Japanese.

'Hell, she could be Hisako's long lost sister.' I didn't muse any longer when her face and my memory of the Marvel Universe finally came together.

'She looks just like Colleen Wing from the Iron Fist series. So the defenders exist in this universe too? She's a bit early though.' I thought weirdly. The events of Iron Fist definitely don't take place in 2011, so for her to be here right now is weird.

'She also looks younger. She looks my age.' This Marvel Universe definitely had some funky features about it, and I could only stress that there could be more.

My interest in the fight disappeared after I learned who she was, but that doesn't take away all of the impressiveness of it. It was still pretty cool.

After the fight was over and Colleen was obviously declared the winner, she left quickly, not staying to hear the cheers of the fans.

Although my interest had depleted, my curiosity was at an all time high, so I decided to follow her. I very much understood that my actions to the outside person looked very creepy and suspicious.

A woman walking alone at night and a man trailing a fair distance behind her with his hood and a mask on making him completely undetectable… of course that seems weird. I don't know any circumstance where it isn't!

I put those thoughts aside and continued following her.

'She is a master of martial arts and used to serve the Hand. I wonder if she can sense my presence?' I had no idea if she knew how to use Chi yet, but while watching the fight I did notice times she would struggle, so I doubt she knew yet. If she had Chi, she would've used it then.

Colleen Wing View

I've walked through multiple alleyway shortcuts to get to the dojo, yet he still hasn't attacked me. He's had many moments to attack me in these dark and secluded areas.

They're all trapped by me so I'd have an advantage if attacked, and these traps have been here for a long time, so there's no way he knows about them.

'His intentions are still unclear, but there seems to be no bad intentions. That doesn't mean I shouldn't continue to remain vigilant though.' I thought wearily.

As I continued to walk while making sure my pursuer didn't catch onto me, I began to acknowledge how good his espionage skills were. They were almost on par with some of the people in the Hand.

'Maybe he could be a good asset to the Hand.' I mused thoughtfully. The Hand didn't necessarily need new recruits, and I scrapped the idea anyway. They weren't known for taking in Americans unless they were used in sacrificial roles or exceptionally talented at something.

I didn't know either of these things yet, so I just continued my observation.

'Time to confront him.' As soon as I entered the dojo, I grabbed a katana and stood by the door. I waited for many minutes, but didn't hear a single sound.

"You think too low of me." I heard a voice from outside the dojo. I peaked around the corner and looked through the windows on the doors. The man was standing there and I could tell that he had a grin on his face through the half mask.

I fully stepped out of the shadows and carefully looked at him with my katana trained at my side.

"Who are you?" I asked cautiously.

"I'm a man of many names, but you can call me Azrael." He answered.

——

I decided to tell her my real name because after reading her surface thoughts carefully, I knew more than I did before. She's still currently working for the hand and has light thoughts of recruiting me.

If I deny her recruiting attempts but she still tells the hand about me, if they somehow link me to my identity, all they'll see is a dead kid. My original identity is only known in Sokovia, and that identity stopped updating when I died that day.. metaphorically speaking.

In other words, if I gave the Hand my new identity, that would put me in legitimate danger, something I can or cannot afford right now.

'As if Hydra and Shield wasn't enough. If I get the Hand on top of that, I might as well be a private menace.' I thought.

After I told her my name, she cautiously opened the dojo door to let me in. She turned on the light while carefully training the blade at my vital organs from a short distance.

"Keep your hands in the air, and don't make any sudden movements. If you twitch the wrong way, I will be quick to end your life. Do you understand?" She asked authoritatively.

In a sense, she did have a higher level of authority than me right now.

Her sentence also brought me to an internal laughter.

'Quick to end me? She acts like I haven't died before!'

"Of course, Sensei."

(A/N: I want to address something really quick. This should take less than a minute.

I am more than willing to receive constructive criticism, but when people start critiquing the reasons and inner machinations about "why I even started writing", that's when it isn't constructive criticism.

I'm tired of people assuming I'm some fanfic God who knows how to write the perfect chapter. I'm not. I've never claimed to be a good writer. I love to write what I read because I love to read what I write.

That's all I have to say. Thank you for your time :3)
