Chapter 24 - CH24- PP, Precision and Pressure

To help train Chris today, I decided to go to the number one place that all protagonists in movies love to go to.

"An abandoned warehouse?" Chris asked in uncertainty. I grabbed the lock on the fence and froze it. Once it was fully frozen, I crushed it in my hand and its pieces fell onto the ground. I pushed open the fence and looked at Chris with an amused smile.

"It's remote, perfect for training. No one will come here. And if there isn't any construction equipment or vehicles around, that means there aren't any plans to tear this building down yet, so we have this to ourselves for the meantime." I explained.

Chris nodded in realization and followed through the fence behind me. I walked into the large opening that led inside the warehouse and looked around.

'Empty. Perfect. There's no electronic equipment that Chris might accidentally blow up if his electricity came into contact with it.' I walked into the middle of the warehouse and turned to look at Chris fully now.

Once he saw that I stopped, he stopped too.

"Alright, what exactly to you want me to help you with?" I asked.

"The potency of my electricity. I have great control over the electricity and I can shape it, but it's not potent enough. And when I try to add more power to it, I lose control easily." Chris explained.

I walked over and stood next to him.

"Show me." He looked at me for a second before outstretching his hand and allowing electricity to shoot from his hand.

He started to manipulate it and change it into certain shapes. Then, he tried to increase its power. The amount of lightning he started to produce increased in quantity, and I instantly realized his mistake. Before he could even lose control, I told him to stop.

"You didn't even see me lose control yet." He said irritatingly.

"Because I already see where you fucked up." I started.

"You have a simple issue. You are using quantity over quality. You are attempting to increase its power by simply increasing the amount of electricity, and that's wrong."

"How can you teach me to fix this then?" Chris asked curiously.

"We must use the PP method." I said without further elaboration.

"T-The fucking what?" Chris stuttered. I outstretched my hand and telekinetically pulled a log of wood a few meters away from us. With that same hand, I started to provide an example. A small stream of fire shot out from my hand as I aimed it perfectly at the log of wood.

"Imagine this fire is your electricity. It's base is weak because you don't know how to increase the power of it." Instead of making the fire stronger, I made it bigger.

"The reason you can't uphold the large amount of electricity, is because your control is simply not good enough in terms of increasing a quantity. Your control is the opposite." I then decreased the size of the fire stream and the thinner it became, the longer its distance was, and it created a hole straight through the wood.

"Instead of increasing your output, decrease it. You don't have mastery control over the smaller currents, so that's the reason you can't control bigger currents. In other words, power isn't based on size. Today, you will master your control over small currents until you put a hole in that piece of wood." I finished, putting my hand down.

"But, wood isn't a conductor of electricity." Chris stated. A smile grazed my face at his sentence.

"I know." Chris's face paled and he found my smile menacing. I walked over to the staircase next to the wood and sat down on it, and prepared to oversee his training.

As I watched Wanda dance, I couldn't help but feel confused. Her steps were not nearly as calculated as mine, but her "dancing" was much more energetic than mine.

So I felt surprised when I saw that her score was higher than mine.

"So, you having fun while dancing is why you got a higher score than me?" I asked Wanda for confirmation.

"Mhm." She answered while catching her breath.

"I guess Azrael was right. The PP method doesn't work in all scenarios." I muttered. Wanda heard me and looked at me in confusion.

"Did you say the PP method? God that sounds gross." She said disgustingly.

"Precision and Pressure? Azrael said that to succeed you must be efficient in PP."

"I think you two should get a different expression." Wanda suggested after collecting herself.

"Anyway, it's your turn again, but this time don't use the… Precision and Pressure method, use your method. Be yourself." Wanda explained as she pushed me back onto the machine.

'Be myself?' I thought. Wanda put coins in the machine and played a different Michael Jackson song this time. 'Ghost? Sounds gloomy compared to the previous song.'

When the song played, I found myself enjoying the eerie and odd beat. I never heard something like this before. I think I enjoyed it?

I don't know what I thought, I just decided to take Wanda's advice. I was slightly determined to beat her score.

I focused a little less of the precision of the movement of my feet, and more on having a natural reaction with my body to the sound of the song.

After the song ended, I looked at the score and a dominate grin swept my face.

"Yes!" I exclaimed. Wanda looked at me bewildered, but I didn't care. I beat her score by over 500 points. 9,560 to 10,110.

"Well, good job on beating me, I'm proud of you!" Wanda congratulated with a smile.

"Thank you, I've learned something today. Let's continue playing." I said, expressing my gratitude. Wanda nodded as we continued to play as many games as we wanted while being hand in hand.
