Chereads / Tensura : [Charybdis] / Chapter 34 - Becoming a Mother

Chapter 34 - Becoming a Mother

After departing from the Dwelling of Spirits, Harita set her sights on the next phase of her mission.

The Elemental Lords of Darkness and Space held significant power and influence.

If they could be persuaded to join Lanka, it would be a monumental step toward solidifying the new kingdom's strength.

Harita traveled swiftly, her path leading her to the secluded regions where the Elemental Lords resided.

The journey was arduous, filled with treacherous landscapes within subliminal dimensions and potent magical barriers, but she pressed on with unwavering determination.

Her first destination was the domain of the Elemental Lord of Darkness.

The air grew heavy with an eerie stillness as she approached a towering, ancient fortress shrouded in perpetual twilight gaurded by heavy dimensional isolation.

The only reason foe her being able to traverse these narrow mystical pathways was her specail constitution and the key provided to her by Her master.

It held the power to unlock any lock even dimensional one's.

She could feel the oppressive energy of darkness permeating the area, a testament to the immense power of its ruler.

As she stepped into the fortress, she was met by a shadowy figure materializing from the darkness.

The Elemental Lord of Darkness, an imposing presence with eyes that seemed to pierce through the very fabric of reality, regarded her with curiosity.

"Who dares enter my domain?" the Elemental Lord's voice echoed, carrying a mixture of authority and intrigue.

Harita knelt respectfully. "Great Elemental Lord of Darkness, I am Harita, envoy of Charybdis, guardian of the newly formed kingdom of Lanka. I come with an invitation."

The Elemental Lord's eyes narrowed slightly. "An invitation, you say? Speak, and be quick about it."

Harita took a deep breath, steadying herself. "Lanka is a new kingdom, created by Master Charybdis in the southern ocean of the continent. We seek to gather allies of great power and wisdom to help us build a sanctuary of peace and strength. Charybdis believes that your presence would be invaluable to us."

The Elemental Lord's expression remained inscrutable. "And what makes you think I would be interested in such an alliance?"

"We offer you a place of prominence and respect within Lanka," Harita explained. "Your power will be recognized and revered. Additionally, we propose to use Charybdis's and Veldora's combined powers to create a secure and enhanced environment for your domain. Your influence will extend far and wide, and your safety will be guaranteed obviouslywe require absolute loyalty to our cause in exchange. "

The Elemental Lord considered this for a moment, his eyes never leaving Harita. "I will need time to contemplate your offer. You may go."

Harita bowed deeply. "Thank you, great Elemental Lord. We await your decision."

With that, she departed the fortress, feeling a mixture of hope and apprehension. Her next destination was the realm of the Elemental Lord of Space.

The journey to the Elemental Lord of Space's domain was even more challenging, as it lay hidden within the folds of space bordering on bending reality.

After navigating through intricate spatial distortions, Harita finally arrived at a vast, ethereal expanse where the Elemental Lord of Space awaited.

The Elemental Lord of Space, a figure of otherworldly beauty with a presence that seemed to warp the very air around them, observed Harita with a curious gaze.

"You have traversed the boundaries of space many will find impossible to traverse to reach me," the Elemental Lord said, their voice echoing with a resonance that seemed to transcend dimensions. "What brings you here young one?"

Harita knelt respectfully. "Great Elemental Lord of Space, I am Harita, envoy of Queen Charybdis,of the newly formed kingdom of Lanka. I come with an invitation."

The Elemental Lord's eyes sparkled with interest. "An invitation? To what end?"

Harita repeated her pitch, explaining the vision of Lanka and the unique opportunities it presented.

She emphasized the potential for cooperation and the promise of a secure and influential position within the new kingdom.

The Elemental Lord listened intently, their expression thoughtful. "Your offer is intriguing. I will need time to consider it."

Harita bowed deeply. "Thank you, great Elemental Lord. We await your decision."

As Harita made her way back, she felt a sense of accomplishment. She had delivered Charybdis's invitations and laid the groundwork for potential alliances.

Now, it was up to the Elemental Lords to decide whether they would join the emerging kingdom of Lanka.

Underground facility Lab 02

The dim glow of the laboratory cast long shadows on the walls, the room filled with the hum of machinery and sterile scent .

Charybdis stood over Kai, her clinical glasses reflecting the sparse light, her face a mask of calm determination.

"Are you ready, Kai?" she asked, her voice steady but with an underlying hint of severity.

"This will probably be the toughest one you will face, from all the ones you have faced yet."

Kai, strapped to the operating table, nodded slowly.

He had been through countless experiments, each more grueling than the last.

But something in Charybdis's tone gave him pause.

"And if it goes well," she continued, locking his arm in place with another set of constraints gently, "it'll probably be the last."

With a swift motion, she pulled out a mechanical plug, a cold, metallic device designed to stifle any sound.

She placed it over his mouth, sealing it shut.

For the first time, a flicker of fear crossed Kai's eyes.

"I'm a changed woman, Kai," she said, her voice softening, almost tender. "If you survive this, you will get any reward you want. So be a good and strong boy."

She moved to a console, her fingers dancing over the controls.

Kai's heart pounded as he felt the first prick of pain, a brutal surge that made him scream into the muffling plug.

His soul felt as if it was being torn apart, a methodical application of spirit elemental distillation via a scepter focused at his heart.

It ripped apart his human nature, replacing it with neutral spiriton constructs.

Charybdis walked away, her expression cold and distant, and activated a few more machines she had created from scratch.

She pressed a final red button, and multiple needles injected Kai with a purple liquid.

He felt the advanced Rc cells, infused with traits from thousands of monsters, coursing through his veins.

It was an advanced form of cellular transformation, forcing his body to evolve beyond its limits.

This was Harita's legacy, a rudimentary experiment that showed Charybdis the potential of breaking set evolutionary paths, creating entirely new species. Kai's screams grew louder, his body convulsing in agony.

Charybdis, emotionless, pressed another button.

A metal cradle closed around Kai, cutting off his screams.

She sat down and pulled out a cable with organic terminals, a stinger at its end.

Without hesitation, she plunged it into her neck as red lines spread through her body causing an expression of pain and happiness to cross her face as she inched closer to her goal.

This was the birth of the first Asur, the manifestation of her rage and her first child, though unconventional it was the best she could manage.

Soon after two hours, The cradle whirred down, and she withdrew the terminal from her neck stumbling a bit as she had used her qualitative essence as a monster to artificially "mother" Kai in this process.

As she touched the surface of the cradle, it exploded outward, revealing a transformed Kai.

He emerged with six eyes, four arms, and six wings, a terrifying blend of human and monstrous traits.

He lunged at her, his rage palpable. But Charybdis merely smiled, a blissful expression of motherly pride, and embraced him.

"It's okay, my child," she whispered. "It's okay."

Kai's struggles ceased at her touch, and he collapsed into unconsciousness. As he fell asleep, his monstrous features faded, leaving only his six eyes.

Charybdis watched over him, a sense of exhilaration washing over her. She had succeeded.

But more importantly she was a Mother now.

That day not many knew the calamity that Charybdis unleashed on the world.

The first Asur, The eldest of the ten siblings , Krodha The Imperial, was born.
