Blake and Ayame spent the night with each other, sleeping on the same bed. Aside from touching each other and kissing, they didn't go further yet.
After all, it was their first day of marriage and basically their first day after meeting each other for eight years. Their love for each other wasn't just mere lust but something more of commitment and companionship.
Otherwise, if Blake was that lustful, he could have easily gotten one-night stands with his female classmates. He could easily become a playboy if he wanted to. The same went with Ayame.
But due to their childhood promise, Blake and Ayame kept themselves pure and chaste. They didn't go to the last base yet since they wanted to enjoy their pure love for each other.
With that in mind, the two of them slept together on the same bed and the night passed.
…
As the first rays of sunlight filtered through the window, they gently illuminated the room with a soft, golden glow.
The light gradually crept across the bed, eventually reaching Blake's face. The warmth stirred him from his slumber, and he opened his eyes slowly, adjusting to the brightness.
Blake turned his head to look at Ayame, who was still peacefully sleeping beside him.
Her silver hair shimmered in the morning light, and her serene expression brought a smile to his face.
He couldn't help but marvel at how beautiful and ethereal she looked.
With a gentle touch, he brushed a strand of hair away from her face and leaned in closer. "Awaken, my queen," he whispered softly, his voice filled with tenderness.
Ayame stirred at the sound of his voice, her crimson eyes fluttering open.
She gazed at Blake with a sleepy yet loving expression, a smile forming on her lips. "Good morning, darling," she replied, her voice still soft and drowsy.
Blake leaned in and kissed her forehead. "Good morning, Ayame. Did you sleep well?"
"Yes," she answered, snuggling closer to him. "I had the best sleep ever, knowing you were right beside me."
Blake wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. "I feel the same way. Every morning waking up next to you will be a blessing."
Ayame nodded, contentment filling her heart. They lay there for a few more moments, enjoying the quiet morning and the warmth of each other's embrace.
The day ahead held many adventures, but for now, they cherished the simple joy of being together.
However, their peaceful morning was abruptly shattered by the loud, menacing howling of a pack of wolves echoing through the mansion. Blake and Ayame shot up, their serene expressions replaced by confusion and concern.
"What was that?" Blake asked, his voice tense.
Ayame's eyes narrowed as she instinctively reached for Blake's hand. "It sounded like wolves, but why would there be wolves near the mansion?"
Before they could ponder further, the mansion spirit appeared before them, its presence casting a calming yet urgent aura.
The miniature black dragon hovered in the air, its wings fluttering gently.
"Master Blake, Lady Ayame," the spirit began in its melodious, gender-neutral voice, "I must inform you that the mansion has been transported to another world. This shift occurred due to unknown reasons, and we are now in a fantasy realm."
Blake blinked in astonishment. "Another world? How is that possible?"
The spirit's eyes glowed softly as it explained, "This mansion holds ancient magic, capable of traversing dimensions and spaces, but not to the extent that it can travel to other worlds. However, the exact cause of this sudden journey is beyond my understanding. The howling you hear is from the creatures native to this world."
Ayame, always quick to adapt, squeezed Blake's hand reassuringly. "We need to be prepared for whatever this new world throws at us. We've faced challenges before, and we'll face this one together."
Blake nodded, determination hardening his features. "You're right. We need to secure the mansion and understand our surroundings."
The mansion spirit hovered closer, its expression grave. "I will assist in fortifying the mansion. Meanwhile, it would be wise to scout the area and gather information about this world. The creatures outside pose a threat, but with your abilities, you should be able to handle them."
With a deep breath, Blake and Ayame steeled themselves for the unknown.
Their honeymoon was about to take an unexpected turn, plunging them into a world of fantasy and danger.
Together, they would face whatever lay ahead, their bond and the mansion spirit's guidance their greatest strengths.
Blake and Ayame discussed their next steps carefully, the urgency of their situation pressing on their minds.
"We need to gather information about this world," Blake began, his voice steady. "I'll lead the scouting. With my Adaptation Sage Authority, I can handle any damage or environmental hazards. My ability allows me to survive and adapt to whatever dangers we might encounter."
Ayame nodded, her expression serious. "That makes sense, Blake. Your power gives you the best chance of surviving unknown threats."
"But," Blake continued, "we can't ignore the immediate danger. Those wolves outside pose a threat to the mansion."
Ayame's eyes flashed with determination. "I'll deal with the wolves. My Tengu powers give me the highest attack capability among us. I can handle them quickly and ensure they don't breach our defenses."
Blake reached out and took her hand, squeezing it gently. "Be careful, Ayame. We don't know what other threats might be lurking out there."
Ayame smiled confidently. "Don't worry about me. I've handled worse. You focus on scouting and gathering information. We'll regroup once the immediate threat is neutralized."
With a plan in place, Blake and Ayame prepared for their respective tasks. Blake armed himself with basic supplies and tools for exploration, while Ayame readied her abilities, her wings twitching in anticipation.
They shared a brief, reassuring embrace before stepping out of the bedroom. Blake headed towards the mansion's entrance, ready to face the unknown, while Ayame moved with grace and determination towards the howling outside.
The mansion spirit hovered nearby, ready to assist them both. "Good luck, Master Blake and Lady Ayame. Stay vigilant."
