Chapter 7 - Earth Dire Wolves

As Blake ventured out to explore and gather crucial information about their new world, Ayame steeled herself to confront the wolves, her mind focused on protecting their sanctuary.

Together, they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, drawing strength from their bond and the mysterious power of their enchanted home.

When Blake left the mansion with Ayame, the two of them saw the wolves that had caused the commotion from before.

The creatures were Earth Dire Wolves, massive beasts the size of a car with fur that seemed to blend with the earth itself. Their eyes glowed with deep, primal intelligence, and their paws left trails of upturned soil and rocks, hinting at their ability to manipulate earth elements.

Of course, Ayame and Blake didn't know the names of the wolves. But that didn't prevent them from noticing its ability to manipulate the earth's elements due to their great observation skills, especially Ayame who was sensitive to the elements.

The wolves snarled and growled, their eyes locked on Blake and Ayame, ready to attack. Ayame prepared to unleash her Tengu wind, but Blake stopped her with a raised hand.

"I'll take the vanguard," Blake said, determination clear in his voice. "My Adaptation Sage Authority will allow me to handle their attacks and come out stronger."

Ayame hesitated, her eyes filled with concern. "Blake, I don't want you to get hurt."

"I know," Blake replied softly, "but I need to be in harm's way for my power to be effective. Trust me."

After a moment's pause, Ayame nodded reluctantly. "Be careful," she whispered.

Blake charged forward, his fists clenched, ready to face the Earth Dire Wolves.

The wolves responded to his challenge, their massive bodies moving with surprising agility.

The first wolf lunged at him, its jaws snapping shut around his arm. Pain shot through Blake, but he gritted his teeth and punched the wolf in the face with his free hand, sending it reeling.

Another wolf attacked from the side, its teeth sinking into Blake's leg. He lashed out with a kick, dislodging the beast.

As more wolves joined the fray, Blake was surrounded, their fangs tearing into his flesh from all sides. Blood flowed freely, but with each bite, Blake's body began to adapt. His skin toughened, becoming resistant to the wolves' teeth.

Suddenly, the wolves shifted tactics, their eyes glowing brighter as they summoned earth magic. Spikes of rock erupted from the ground, impaling Blake through his vital organs and even his heart.

The pain was excruciating, and for a moment, everything went black.

But then, his Adaptation Sage Authority kicked in.

The spikes retracted from his body as his wounds healed rapidly.

Blake's muscles bulged with newfound strength, and his skin hardened, becoming impervious to the earth spikes.

"Damn you!"

He roared in defiance, his physical power now matching that of the wolves.

With savage determination, Blake attacked the wolves with his fists, each blow carrying the force of a sledgehammer

He moved with the speed and precision of a seasoned warrior, knocking down wolf after wolf. The beasts howled in pain and frustration as their attacks became ineffective.

While Blake fought valiantly, some of the Earth Dire Wolves broke away from the main group, aiming to attack Ayame.

Seeing the danger, Ayame's eyes narrowed in focus. She summoned the power of the Tengu wind, her wings flaring out behind her. The air around her began to swirl and crackle with energy.

With a swift motion, Ayame unleashed her wind attack. Razor-sharp gusts of wind sliced through the air, hitting the wolves with devastating precision.

The wolves' bodies were torn apart, shredded into countless pieces by the sheer force of her wind. Blood and fur scattered in the air, leaving nothing but a bloody mess.

The remaining wolves, realizing the strength of their opponents, attempted to flee.

However, Ayame wasn't about to let them escape. She conjured walls of wind, creating an impenetrable barrier that blocked the wolves' path and forced them back towards Blake.

Trapped and with no other choice, the Earth Dire Wolves turned to face Blake, their eyes filled with desperation and rage.

Blake, his body now fully adapted to their attacks, stepped forward with unyielding determination and confidence.

"Bring it on, you damn mutts!"

With raw, primal fury, Blake charged at the wolves. His fists moved with incredible speed and power, each punch resonating with the force of a sledgehammer.

He bashed their skulls, his blows shattering bones and sending the massive creatures crashing to the ground.

The wolves fought back fiercely, but Blake's Adaptation Sage Authority rendered their efforts futile. His skin was now as tough as stone, immune to their bites and claws. He fought like a savage, his movements a blur of brute strength and unrelenting ferocity.

One by one, the Earth Dire Wolves fell, their bodies broken and lifeless. Blake's fists were stained with blood, his breathing heavy but steady.

He stood amidst the carnage, victorious and unyielding.

Ayame rushed to his side, her eyes filled with concern despite their victory. "Blake, are you alright?"

He nodded, breathing heavily but smiling. "I'm fine. Thanks to my Adaptation Sage Authority, I feel stronger than ever."

Ayame smiled back, relief washing over her. "I knew you could do it."

After they celebrated their victory, the mansion spirit appeared and waved its small dragon paws, causing the corpses of the Earth Dire Wolves to disappear.

The mansion spirit explained, "I'll analyze the biological information of these creatures and see what power system they use. But from the looks of it, they seem to use an energy called mana and it's quite similar to the mages in our previous world."

Ayame nodded, "That's true. Aside from the lack of incantations, the wolves are indeed using magic and mana. But rather than directly manipulating the elements like a Tengu, the wolves are using their mana to impose their control over the earth elements."

"We still need to explore more of this world and find a way back to return to our home world."
