It was the night of the chichibuya Festival, the air was filled with jubilant energy the streets of the cities were lightened up as drums and noises filled every house, every house except one. it was the house of the Atustaki family known to be the family of the great Kabiya kingdom.
'' Did something bad happen to one of the men?'' asked two ladies as they walked past the house of the Atustaki family. As the two ladies walked past the house with confusion they heard a sudden noise it was the noise of men who were celebrating.
finally. the sense of worry and fear that surrounded the Atustaki house quickly turned to a celebratory one. '' the child has been born'' said an old lady as she walked out of a tent, with blood stains on her hands, she whispered to a man who stood beside the tent. This man happens to be Akito the leader of the Atustaki family and also the father of the newborn child.
Akito was very disciplined and dominant, respected by all the members of the Atustaki family, he was made the Akaji of the family.
Akito had a charming and calm that could deceive even his enemies but his looks were just mere camouflaging of his true self. for over 12 years Akito has been the leader of the royal palace's secret assassination members known as the kagutas.
Created by Akito himself, they went on missions killing kings of neighbouring cities that troubled the peace of the Kabiya kingdom. it is believed that the deaths of over 12 kings in the past 20 years were all done by Akito. But now Akito's age had not been kind to Akito, he was no longer the nimble and powerful warrior he had once been. His advancing years made it difficult to carry out his duties as the head of the Kaguta clan.
Akito knew he had to find a young male heir to take his place, someone who would carry on with the duty of being the leader of the Kaguta with the same strength and vigor he once possessed.
Now the night had come for his heir to be born. he gently entered the tent where he saw his beautiful wife Aimi lying down with their newborn in the crib beside her. his face raced with happiness as his face lightened up with a bright smile like that of a beaming sun.
He slowly moved towards Aimi who was exhausted and still weak upon just giving birth, but a faint smile still managed to curve her lips as Akito reached her.
He took her hand in his and gently brushed his lips against her forehead. In a voice that was both tender and wistful, he whispered, ''I'm sure he has your nose '' as he turned his gaze to the tiny bundle of life nestled in the crib, it features so reminiscent of its mother.
After he had comforted his wife for a while he moved near the crib where his child was laid but upon setting his gaze on the new-born, the joy that once flickered in his eyes was extinguished as though snuffed out by a sudden gale.
Rage and disappointment seized him, twisting his features into a bitter scowl. He snatched the infant from the crib, holding it with the same ferocity that he once used to assassinate kings. His voice was a low, threatening growl as he said to his wife '' What is this?! This cannot be my child! This is nothing but an animal!
'' This can not be heir, he also can't live among us. what would the people think when they see that I have a hideous being as a child'' he said in disgust as he stared at the infant. it appeared that a hideous, burn-like scare marred the infant's innocent face, giving him a deformed appearance that was far from the angelic appearance Akito expected.
With the pain from child labor, Aimi mustered the strength to crawl towards her furious husband, her gaze imploring. '' I know what you plan to do and I support you but I sense greatness in this child. He may not fulfill his destiny here, but I believe he will be great i can sense it in me''.
With ferocity on his face and no pity, Akito said as he dashed out from the tenth '' The only greatness he would be fulfilling will be filling the belly of the beast on the mountain and that is if I don't kill it first''
Upon getting outside, Akito mounted his horse and placed the infant in between his legs, he made his way for the mountain not far from the city.
With so much ferocity in his heart, Akito rode his horse as fast as he could to the foot of the mountain.
Upon getting to the foot of the mountain he got down and then placed the infant on the floor. He stared at the infant in silence hoping that he would have a reason to not do what he had in mind but at that moment nothing came to his heart.
The feeling of disgust and anger clouded his mind, sense of pity appeared to have faded from his heart. he brought out a dagger from his waist as he thought to himself '' might as well end his misery before any beast does''.
Akito drew his dagger with the intention of ending his infant son's life. But as he slashed downward, his blade struck only the hardened scales, like that of a mythical dragon. The dagger skittered away harmlessly, the infant's skin mysteriously unaffected by the blade.
Akito stumbled back, his eyes wide with disbelief and terror. '' what the hell are you?'' he said, with his hands trembling. With a stifled cry of fright, he scrambled unto his horse and galloped back towards the city, leaving the child in the cold breeze of the night.
