Huo followed the maid into the dining room, her eyes widening as she took in the lively atmosphere. The room was filled with the warm scent of freshly baked bread and the sound of lively chatter. Madam Yin's family and staff bustled about, preparing for breakfast.
As Huo entered, two young men caught her attention. They sat at the head of the table, their piercing gazes fixed on her. One had jet-black hair and piercing blue eyes, his chiseled features radiating confidence. The other had messy brown hair and warm, hazel eyes, his smile inviting and friendly.
Madam Yin beckoned Huo to join them, her eyes shining with warmth. "Huo, come meet my sons, Jian and Liang."
Huo's heart skipped a beat as she approached the table. Jian, the elder son, nodded in greeting, his eyes never leaving hers. Liang, the younger son, flashed a charming smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
"Huo right?" Liang asked smiling at her and she nodded forcing a smile as her heart pounded hard
"Ohhhh don't be shy around me besides mum said you're part of the family now and I'm happy about that cause I've been wanting to have a sister and not just a cold blooded older brother who..." Jian nudged Liang
to be quiet and eat cutting him short of his blabbering.
As they began breakfast, Huo struggled to keep up with the lively conversation. Jian and Liang engaged in a heated debate about the latest developments in Aethoria's magical research, their words flying back and forth like a game of mental sparring.
Madam Yin chuckled, her eyes twinkling. "My sons, always eager to discuss the latest discoveries." she said and patted Huo on her arm "I'm sure with time you would too" she said encouragingly with a smile
Huo listened intently, fascinated by their passion and knowledge. She felt a pang of longing, wishing she could remember her own past and contribute to the conversation. But the question is "how would she remember when she doesn't know whom she is or where she came from?"
As breakfast concluded, Jian and Liang turned to Huo, their eyes filled with curiosity. "So, Huo," Jian began, "what do you think of our humble abode?"
Huo smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Madam Yin and her family. "It's magnificent. I've never seen such beauty and magic in one place."
Liang grinned. "We're glad you like it. Maybe we can show you around later?"
"Of course Liang is right besides there's a festival in the realm today, maybe you can come with us" Jian said gazing at her without a smile on his face
"Urhh..." she stuttered but madam Yin held her hand
"You're part of the family now and you're allowed to be where ever you wish, besides this is only the begining tomorrow a welcoming party will be thrown to welcome you into the family" Madam Yin said with a smile. Huo starred at with surprise written all over her face, she's surprised and marveled by how kind the strange lady is towards her.
