Huo's heart raced as she nodded eagerly, trying to hide her excitement. "I'd love to attend the festival with you!" she exclaimed, her eyes meeting Jian's gaze for a brief moment before he looked away, his expression unreadable.
Liang grinned, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Great! We'll show you the best spots to watch the magical performances. And who knows, maybe you'll even discover a hidden talent!"
Madam Yin chuckled, patting Huo's hand. "I'm sure Huo will fit right in. Now, let's get ready for the festival! We don't want to miss the opening ceremony."
As they finished breakfast, Huo felt a sense of belonging wash over her. For the first time since she got into the house, she felt like she was truely part of the family.
As they made their way to the festival grounds, Huo marveled at the vibrant stalls and colorful decorations. The air was filled with the sweet scent of sugar and spices, and the sound of laughter and music.
Jian and Liang led her to a prime spot near the stage, where they settled in to watch the performances. Huo's eyes widened as she witnessed breathtaking displays of magic, from levitating acrobats to fiery illusions. Seeing the fire display made her head spin and she held unto it, blur images flashed through her head and she screamed in pain with torns of sweat gushing down her face. Liang held onto her shoulder and back, to keep her straight from falling
"Huo! Are you okay?" he asked worriedly
"Let's take her home" Jian said and Liang nodded. Jian carried Huo on his arm till they were home..
"She's fine now" Madam Yin said calmly after few hours of attending to Huo
"What happened to her?" Liang asked with worry written on his face
"Nothing serious, she's just having a hard time remembering whom she truely is" Madam Yin explained and left
"She will be fine" Jian said patting Liang's shoulder. Liang's eyes lingered on Huo's pale face as he watched her through the door, his concern evident. "But what triggered this? She was fine just moments ago..."
Jian's expression turned thoughtful. "I think it was the fire display. Maybe it sparked a memory or something."
Madam Yin's words echoed in Liang's mind: "She's just having a hard time remembering who she truly is." He felt a pang of sympathy for Huo, whose past remained a mystery.
The next day, Liang found Huo in the garden, her eyes fixed on a blooming flower. "Hey, how are you feeling today?" he asked, sitting beside her.
Huo's gaze didn't waver. "I'm fine, thank you. Just trying to recover..."
Liang nodded understandingly. "Take your time. We're here for you." just as he said those words he spotted a white horse come into their yard, knowing whom it was he excitedly pulled Huo's hand and walked to the front yard.
"Prince Vulcan!" he called excitedly as he reached out for a hug
"Liang! its been a while I saw your friendly face? how have you been?" Vulcan asked as he secretly took a glance at Huo's face
"I've been energetic as always" he replied and looked at Huo "besides this is my sister Huo, Huo meet prince of Aethoria, prince Vulcan" Liang introduced and Huo flashed a smile as she bowed slightly
"Its and honor to meet you my prince"
"Same here my lady" Vulcan replied with a smile "where is Jian?" he asked almost immediately
"In his chambers" Liang replied and Vulcan gracefully his way towards Jian's chambers with his hands behind his back.
