Jade walked down the aisle, in a glistening white dress and a beautiful veil. It was like walking in a Taylor Swift song and it felt amazing, the dress, the heels, the sunset, the fall. It felt amazing but Jade had never felt more alone. She was getting married, even though it was a contract marriage, it was still a marriage nonetheless.
The groom's side was full of people and on the bride's side, there was Claire and her plus one. She didn't want to wallow in the sinking feeling she was having in her chest while she was making her way to her husband. He was smiling at her, and she returned the smile.
