"We're fucked? Just like you're fiance with that commoner boy?"
'Burn.'
I was also intent on joining in the fun seeing as miss Rein hadn't said anything about Orphelia's retort; however I held my tongue. Sometimes observing is also fun. Pause.
"Didn't you try to seduce a priest?"
'Damn Orphelia he's got you there.'
"And was successful, similar to that commoner your fiance left for."
'Damn Orphelia let the man breathe!'
"You BITC—
Interjecting Kurt's outburst was my glorious goddess miss Rein
"Keep talking and I'll kick you out of my class Ritzburg."
And it seemed she had a slight bit of favoritism going on for us, seeing as she only called out Kurt. Well, either that or she tolerates bickering apt for derogatory name calling.
Either way Kurt was successfully shut down, keeping his head low.
'I don't get why this dude is hell bent on acting like a third rate villain though. I mean I get the name reference but seriously?'
"Moving forward with class now."

Classes ended after a few more hours; nothing else that important was really explained aside from minor explanations of elements and mind training. In fact after Kurt's public shaming episode it was basically how a self study period would be.
Miss Rein just sat at the front desk not caring whether students chatted or not as long as we weren't loud. She even answered questions students had.
Apparently Orphelia had made friends with the shy cat girl from yesterday; leaving me in a particularly sour mood as my only friend in class was Leon, who was flooded by students talking to him.
The two faced bastard was acting completely different from yesterday at the dorms.
'Sigh. Well with classes over I guess I can hit the library. I still want to learn a bit more about Odos.'
Bump-
Knocking me out of my thoughts, literally, was a beautiful older looking girl in front of me.
"Kindly watch where you're going? Thank you."
"I apologize sincerely young miss?"
She had lengthy curly brown hair with similarly colored eyes. Her face would be a picture perfect beauty if wasn't for the disgust present on her pretty face.
"Camille Laife. I suppose expecting someone like you to remember who I am is asking too much."
My eyebrows twitched slightly as my smile faltered.
'Calm thoughts Dirius. Calm thoughts.'
Wait, Wasn't this the same girl that ran into Orphelia on orientation day and insulted her? She looked slightly older than us so I was a little surprised when I saw her in the same class as us.
"I suppose so miss Laife. It's definitely a bit disappointing I neglected to remember the name of a beauty such as yourself."
Bitchy or not, usually people with superiority complexes love to be complimented. As long as I don't take anything she says seriously I should be able to get along with her reasonably fine.
'Plus she's hot.'
Hearing my compliment she lifted her chin while blushing slightly.
"I-It seems you aren't completely incompetent. Good that you can recognize the lapse in your judgement."
Nodding along with her words I smiled slightly.
'Weak to compliments. Noted.'
Guess this archetype is the same regardless of worlds.
"Ah before you go miss Laife, could you perhaps point me to the direction of the library?"
"Sure."
.
.
The library was honestly massive, marble floors with two levels with ceilings completely packed with books. The room itself was an open circular design with the second floor being hollow at the center, having a large wooden ladder on each side for easy access to climb up.
The seating provided were wooden benches that had no cushioning and the lighting was projected via Fortuna crystal lamps and the massive stained glass windows above the second floor.
'Well isn't this just picture perfect.'
Looking for a section that held books about the Odos I saw a familiar figure seated at a bench in front of it.
'It's that girl from yesterday, who told me to get to my dorm quickly.'
Her appearance came across as nothing less than striking as her eyes concentrated on the book in her hand with laser focus.
I however, wasn't here to pick up girls today but rather up my knowledge. 'Priorities this time. I have a feeling I'll see her again anyway.'
Making my way to the bookcase I unintentionally looked back at her visage, focusing my eyes on the book in her hands.
'I wonder what has her so focused.'
"Dorothy's loud moans echoed throughout the classroom as Bertus plowed her—" Jesus Chris! This perverted girl was reading smut in a public library.
'Is she shameless!?'
I had thought about confronting her for a split second before deciding against it and picking up a book on Magic Affinities.
'This information will definitely be used as ammo in the future though. hehehe.'

As one would guess, Basic elements such as Fire, wind, earth and water were not the only types of affinities someone could have. There were all types of elements such as Ice, Lightning, Shadow or even Sword.
These non mainstream elements were referred to as Arcanum elements. While certain Arcanum elements can also be determined via place of birth and environment, the more obscure ones such as shadow or sword were only obtained based on the personality of the wielder.
'In short, if someone has shadow as a magic affinity their probably untrustworthy. Got it.'
A person with an affinity for an Arcanum element can still be shown on the Selioma; however, instead of being on the leaves of the Sielu, it shows as a bold glowing center point in the middle of the clover.
A person doesn't necessarily need to focus on the magic of their affinity; rather they can practice any one they desire. An affinity is just the determinant of which magic the person would always be the most proficient in.
"Ah so you were really here."
Drawing me out of my focus was a familiar friendly voice.
"Alan?"
"Yep! What's up man?"
"I was just reading up on Magic Natures."
Hearing my words he nodded his head in understanding.
"Hmm Hmm~ I see! Aren't you rather studious this year Dirius~."
I chuckled a little at his words.
"Yeah I don't wanna fuck up again like last year."
He also laughed with me.
"Understandable."
"Aye by the way Alan, do you know someone named Camille Laife?"
"Ah the pretty girl that got held back a year?"
'Wait, that superiority complex girl got WHAT!?'
