'First day of school wasn't uneventful so yay!' We managed to learn more about the Odos system. I learned a little when we were still traveling with Still Night but Miss Rien really gave more insight. My ass was honestly saved from bein late thanks to Tera and my other roommate who was an upperclassman. She was in fourth year I believe? Her name was Lillith Etson.
She wasn't originally from the Alther kingdom, apparently she's from the Parios Kingdom. It was a chain of small islands that formed a country and they relied on agriculture and tourism thanks to how beautiful their nation was and it's fertility.
Though she was more of an introvert and reserved, she showed Tera and I around campus and helped us get more settled into the dorm. Tera was also from another nation but rather than it being a monarchy it was a democratic country called the Hilryon Republic.
They were huge manufactures and were the center of most trade and at the forefront of research on Fortuna crystals. While the Alther Kingdom had the most Fortuna crystals the
Hilryon Republic would likely be the closest to us in diplomatic relations.
Having parted with my friends I could now be more focused and in tune with my surroundings. Rumors aside I needed to know more about the world itself and the noble hierarchy of Alther. 'Wish I could just get someone to help me with this.'
I sighed as I continued to walk to the library. 'Fuck I really forgot how much of a hassle studying could be.' I really wished I could ask the other two more questions but I didn't want to be a burden already. I had bad experiences relying on others too much too early on in my past life and resigned to not relive that same mistake.
I already understood the class system and knew about three other countries aside from Alther thanks to the girls and what I overheard but that wasn't going to be enough. There were seven in total so I had to bite the bullet and learn more about the other three nations on my own and the best way to that was reading a book.
The library was huge, there were two stories of books in a circular dome, the ceilings were vaulted and the entire place was lit up by light producing Fortuna crystals. 'Nice. Now time to look for the right bookies.'
Using the catalogue I was able to find the right section and proceeded to search through them, 'I miss search engines.' I was the kind of person who would just look up any question I had no matter hat time it was. Likely adding to my already horrible perception of time, I'd be so absorbed whenever I got curious about something no matter how random.
'Oh this is perfect.' I picked up a book titled 'Six and a half Nations.' It was exactly what I needed but the whole six and a half thing was throwing me for a loop but nonetheless I began reading. well more like skimming for the important parts. I found that most fact books just go on and on without really getting to the point.
The holy Empire Renza which I was only mildly familiar with was an unfettered nation that were the leaders of the main religion practiced in Satura known as Ordra. It was a religion derived from the Odos system as the center of it's base. 'Oh so that's why me flirting with the priest was such a big deal.'
It was honestly amusing that despite knowing this the original me still chatted up a priest. 'Dude must have been fine as hell.' Reminds me of the sexy priests in Villainess novels.
The Droa Kingdom was a country filled with skilled artisans in the ways or fabrics, textiles, jewelry making and all forms of art from musicians to painters. 'Sounds like my kind of place.' Now I really had to go there for myself, if it was one thing I loved was the arts.
I smiled to myself as I continued to read, happy I was gathering some more useful information. The Karmon Federation was a military country. Governed like how an army would be. They were the leaders in weapons dealing. 'Obviously.' Though the thought of an entire nation being centered around violence like that was daunting.
As I continued flipping through the pages I came to the final chapter. 'Wait what?' The last nation was completely lawless and had no contact with the others. Virtually nothing was known aside from fact that most cursed people in the old days when it was still a lawful country came from there. While it was on a large mass of land it was classified as a half nation and just called Ethros.
'Wait no explanation!? All that filler bullshit for the other countries but nothing on this!?' It was starting to get to me and I didn't know exactly why. I assumed it was because Av- Dirius and I were referred to as cursed and the fact I didn't exactly know what that meant but also the frustration at the prospect that this was just a plot hole from the writer.
'Shit I can't deal with this right now.' I got up but began feeling shaky, this was something that happened to me a lot in my old life cause I'd often be too busy to eat but it didn't happened here before- 'Fuck, I didn't eat since yesterday.'

When I came to I was in room I assumed to be the nurse's office.
"Fuck. That's embarrassing."
Suddenly the curtain that was around my bed was pulled.
"I see your vulgar language is still the same."
The source of the voice was a handsome guy with short silver like hair and piercing emerald eyes. 'Hottie alert. Wait- Why does he look so familiar? Don't tell me!'
"I don't need you to lecture me Prince Solon."
"Yet you passed out from not eating anything Lady Orphelia and I was the one to take care of you. I deserve at least a little quarrel."
'Phew, I'm lucky he looks so much like Leon.' Though why is this fine as fuck prince helping me? Chivalry aside, shouldn't he hate me.
"Still, I'm glad you're alight Lady Orphelia and I'm happy you were allowed to come back to Laertes."
I couldn't help but blush, the prince effect was clouding my poor brain.
"Thank you your highness."
He raised an eyebrow and leaned back while looking at me.
"Since when do you refer to me so formally?"
'Oh shit I forgot this bitch was obsessed with him so much to break into his room.' Of course she'd refer to him by name without shame or anything. In an attempt to salvage this whole thing I decided to wing it once again, the only thing it could cost me was PROBABLY MY LIFE!?
"So you prefer it when I just call you Solon then?"
"Of course we've known each other a long time now."
'Oh fuck kill me now!'
"Yeah you're right Solon, but I was trying to stick to what I said in class yesterday. I want to do better, and I also wanted to apologized for being so forward with my affections for you last year."
I started fake crying, but to the untrained eye it could definitely pass as real. In my past life I'd occasionally do guest appearances on shows or do commercials so I did acting classes. 'Please buy this!' My cockiness can only go so far.
"It's okay Orphelia I understand, you're not the only lady who's done this before though I appreciate your apology. I never expected one. While I did here the rumors about you and Dirius-"
'Already!? It's barely been a day!?'
"Changing and starting to turn a new leaf it was hard to believe, but seeing you now I'm certain."
'Am I delulu to believe this guy is actually forgiving me here?' He was surely being really nice, if this was how he real was, could a guy like him really be a king?
"Thanks for saying that Solon. I'll be sure to not disappoint you Solon. Thanks for helping me."
"Make sure and don't skip meals again. Not everyone will protect you."
'Cryptic but true.' He left after about two more minutes and I was completely entranced by his persona.
'I want to know more...about you.'
