As I was greeted by the coldness of the early morning air I began getting ready. Tera and Lillth were basically like Valkyries, guiding lights truly, in my last life I had zero friends but damn did I hit the jackpot time. I also made friends with Alexia, the shy cat girl that bit her tongue. 'Ha Take that Dirius burn with envy!'
Gloating aside I had to learn more about this mysterious half country known only as Ethros. There wasn't anything about it in any of the books I searched through and the whole thing became tedious. I tried asking the librarian but she was sloth beast person. 'Sigh.' I waited fifteen minutes just for her to tell met to look in the same books I already searched through.
'Who could know?' As Tera and I continued to walk to class I was still lost in my thoughts. I wanted to ask Solon but I knew better than getting too close to him even though I apologized. Lately all I can really do is complain while trying to search for answers.
Upon entering class I saw the potential walking encyclopedia I was searching for. 'I hope so at least.' I walked up to him, even though Tera liked to be early there were others at class before us. 'Including him.'
"Hello, good morning prince Leon."
He looked up at me from his book. I know he said on orientation day that anyone could talk to him if they wanted and that he was open to being friends with them, but something about didn't seem entirely genuine.
"Lady Orphelia. Come to cozy up to me to get to my brother huh?"
He asked matter of factly. While I wouldn't mind being cozy with the crown prince that wasn't the objective. 'I could see where he'd get that idea from.' Didn't have to say it like that though.
"Not the goal today, I'd like to get closer to you."
"Oh so no loyalty with you? Any crown will do for you I see."
'This little shit.' My face plastered with my best costumer service smile that I used while working in retail to the rescue.
"You're misunderstanding your highness."
"Drop the honorifics we're classmates. Just get to the point Orphelia."
"Alright Leon. I wanted to ask you if you knew anything about the country Ethros. All the books I checked in the library didn't tell me anything."
His eye raised pointedly before a subtle smirk graced his lips. 'Why'd he look hotter doing that?'
"I'm sorry I don't know anything aside from the Ethros being the place where the first cursed came from."
"That's all?"
I sighed feeling a bit defeated, but that smirk on his face earlier told me he knew more than what he was letting on. So I leaned forward on his desk and gazed directly into his eyes.
"Stop bullshitting here Leon. If you know anything else please tell me."'
"I told you everything I know and even if I knew more why should I help you!?"
'A bit of a brat?' Just like I thought, thankfully no one is really here to see what I was about to do next. I reached my right hand out and held his chin, lowering my voice and pursing my lips slightly and averting my gaze to pretend I was saddened. 'I cant believe I'm really doing this to a prince of all people. Let's see if this works Y/n.'
"Because I can only ask you Lee..... Won't you help me out pretty please. Can't you be nice to me?"
He pulled back his entire face going red. 'Adorable.' I wanted to peel over laughing but I remained firm.
"D..D..Don't touch me without my permission again!"
"So I can touch you again if I ask Lee?"
"Don't call me that again! My name is Leon use it!"
'This is too good.' Him reacting this way just made me want to tease him even more but I knew I had to stay on track. 'He's so cute when he's embarrassed.'
"So are you going to help me or not Leon?"
"Fine!"
"Great. Thank you so much Lee."
I took his hands and smiled. I honestly was pushing my luck but hey.
"There's a restricted library, only authorized personnel can go in there. I'm not sure if even I can get in there."
"Hmm, guess we'll have to break in."
"We!?"
"Don't tell me you're scared prince Leon?"
'Take the bait.'
"Course not... I was just asking for confirmation."
"Great then let's go after class today. I'll get my brother to help us too."
"Figures you two delinquents would want to add to your already long list of stunts."
"And now you get to be an accomplice my dear prince. Enjoy the excitement of it all."
I walked away as he grumbled to himself. 'Prince two is mine to mess with.'

With class having started I locked in once again, despite my lack of my need for academic validation in my past life I was an above average student, indifference to it aside. Class mainly focused on the theory surrounding the Odos system for the morning period and then they'd test everyone's magical aptitude using the Selioma.
The Selioma was a clover shaped Fortuna crystal that was on a silver handle. Silver apparently being the most common metal used to accurately measure someone's Primera Fortuna and stabilize the readings.
"So now that the notes are out the way class it's time to check everyone's magic nature."
After calling put summarized notes from her guidebook and nit bothering to even write anything on the board she finally addressed us. Miss Rien was obviously doing just enough at her job to not get scolded or be praised for it either. 'She's so real.'
"We'll go based on seating order."
'Good day to be in the middle of the class.' While the filler characters tested their magic natures everything seemed in order. As expected most people got earth related magic because of Alther being a more westward country with many mountainous regions and how grounded the people were. There were a few water gifted, followed by wind as the most common and only two fire attributes.
Having such a diverse student populace the results were expected. The standouts however.
"Prince Leon you're next. Place your hand on the crystal."
He pressed his finger to the center of the tool but this time none of the leaves lit up, rather the center did. The whole class audibly gasped. 'Royalty and a prodigy.'
"The first Arcanum I had in a while."
A small smirk formed on Miss Rien's face.
"Glad you're amused teach, I already did this test before so I know what my affinity is. This was just a matter of formality."
Great he's showing some of his cockiness to the class. 'They still won't catch on.'
"So what is it the huh?"
Miss Rien asked deftly.
"Light."
As you'd expect the whispers grew.
"The exact opposite of Prince Solon."
"How could that be, shouldn't that be the opposite."
"Who knows."
Suddenly Miss Rien raised her hand and closed it causing the entire room to go silent.
"Enough talking, as I've just shown you my magical aptitude is sound. Now do I have to take away your voices for the rest of the class or will you shut up!?"
Her face was twisted in a mildly annoyed threatening scowl. 'Never expected to see her get pissed for noise.' Though her power being sound was curious, her little display was intriguing leading me to want to know more about it's versatility.
However the true attention grabber was the fact that Leon had light magic while Solon had shadow, if personality was also a factor, what did that mean?
"Next Alexia Keth."
She got up from her seat her ears drooping down just a little. 'Such a cutie.'
"M-My turn now."
Following the same method she placed her hand at the center of the clover.
"Another one already aye?"
"S..ss..sorry."
"For the love uh-"
Miss Rien lightly face palmed.
"Do you know what it is already or do you have to find out."
"Find out mam."
"Repeat after me and cast this spell at this."
She pulled out a small Selioma from her pocket.
"Reveal what's fortune in form."
"Reveal what's fortune in form."
A small golden Fortuna crystal appeared in her hand.
"You're a lightning user. Whenever there's an unknown Arcanum we use this spell to create a Fortuna crystal and based on it's color if it's prerecorded or the abilities of the crystal we determine your Primera Fortuna. "
She added on more before moving on. Within our class there were four Arcanum attributes. Leon with light, Tera with sword, Alexia with lightning and the bitch Camille with sound just like miss Rien.
However when it came to the idiot twins.
"Orphelia cursed."
"Dirius cursed."
We were unreadable just like they said. 'I need to know more about Ethros.'
