It was ten-fifteen p.m on Saturday, when I walked to Nigel's apartment building, my heart racing with anticipation. Maybe I was just crazy, I didn't want to drag Scott into this part of the investigation.
I inserted the lockpick into the keyhole and gently manipulated the mechanism for a few minutes. The lock clicked open, and I pushed the door ajar, slipping inside.
