An Excerpt from Chloe's Journal.

As I walked down the prison corridor, my thoughts drifted to my family, a mix of melancholy and homesickness washing over me. I missed my husband Vic, his warm embrace, and comforting smile. I longed to see my twin daughters, Lana and Lisa, their bright eyes and giggles. My little Bobby, her who always demanded attention and snuggles.

I remembered the last time I saw them before the trial. The memory etched in my mind like a scar. The twins had been arguing over a Barbie toy, while Bobby clung to my leg, refusing to let go. Vic had tried to calm them down, but it was chaos. I had been overwhelmed, feeling like a failure as a mother and wife.

Now, I realized how much of those times I had taken for granted. I missed the chaos, the noise, the love. I missed being a mother, a wife, a family.
