They found Drew one morning in his stall, motionless, not breathing. His eyes were wide open. Scott didn't know what to make of it, when he saw the stallion in his shed. He called in the vet, Dr. Kim told Easton and that Drew had eaten feed with rat poison in it. Barker came in with some guys from forensics to take samples. He watched with a great deal of hurt as the body was carted away in the back of a van.
He yelled at Sam Cox, one of the workers. "Sam, you're in charge of feeding them—"
The twenty-five year old was shocked. "I didn't do this, there's just no way, the carrots are always washed before I give it to them."
"Well he died under your watch, someone has to take the blame." Scott glared at him. "To think that you would be so careless is unimaginable."
"Mr Anderson, we both know others may have gone into the stables and fed Drew. I know Sam, he can't do this." Easton says.
