Thea's tone turned playfully sarcastic as she said, "You'll meet Ryan, and you're excited! I think you'll completely forget about me while you're with him!" She accompanied her words with an exaggerated gesture, clutching her heart as if wounded.
Charlotte's eyes twinkled with amusement as she joked, "Thea, you're such a melodramatic diva!" Thea's face contorted in a playful pout, her voice filled with pretended umbrage, "Hey, I'm wounded! You're ditching me for a guy!" Charlotte laughed, her voice filled with warmth and fondness, "I'm not deserting you, Thea. I swear."
Charlotte rolled her eyes, her smile still in place. "You're not going to let me forget about you,Thea. You're my best friend, and I'll always make time for you, no matter what!"
Thea hopped out of Charlotte's car as they pulled up to her house. "Remember today's appointment." Charlotte reminded her, her head sticking out of the window. "I'll message you to let you know about the restaurant."
