Bertram was his final pawn. Since Bertram had been away from the Drucker residence, he had instructed Bertram in advance to bring her to him at any cost. Initially, he had planned to escape with her, but now it seemed he would have to use her life to exchange for his own.
On the dock below, Bert and the others, seeing that Jonathan had not taken any action for a while, grew worried and used the intercom to ask, "What's going on?"
Jonathan clenched his hands tightly, which hung by his sides. "Wooden Drucker has taken Clarisse!"
Louis cursed angrily upon hearing this, "Damn it! That despicable Wooden Drucker, I'll blow him away with a single shot!"
He picked up his gun and aimed it at Wooden Drucker on the deck, but Bert stopped him. "Don't be reckless. Wait until Clarisse arrives before making any moves!"
