**Twelve Years Earlier...**
Kimara walked into the dimly lit room, softly shutting the door behind her.
A lot was on her mind, and she could barely keep her curiosity caged.
That was why she had come to her sister Kithara's room for answers.
As she walked towards the bed, she met Kithara's ruthless yet worried stare.
"What do you want, Kimara?" Kithara asked with a deadly tone.
Since they were little, Kimara and Kithara were never on good terms, always hating each other and fighting every chance they got, though they were still close.
"I need answers, Kithara! And I need them from you about earlier," Kimara said sternly, with little respect for the queen. This meant it was personal and did not bother Kithara at all.
Kithara heaved a sigh, turning her gaze down to her hands as she already had a great idea what Kimara wanted to ask. "You want to know why I tried to kill Ruthar?"
Kimara nodded; that wasn't the full question, but it was better to start that way.
"The boy should die while he's an infant. I still believe he should be killed even now," Kithara clenched her fist in rage just thinking about it.
Although that did not answer Kimara's question, "he's your son. What would warrant you to hate and want to kill your own child? Why would you hate him just by seeing him?"
Kithara shrugged, plainly hissing some information from her sister. This information probably scared the ruthless Queen of the Spade Horus that she could not even speak it confidently, which was a first.
"Is it the Mana stone?" Kimara brought her face closer to see if Kithara showed any emotions from hearing her statement, and she did.
"It's not that entirely, but..." Kithara finally made eye contact with Kimara, showing her true emotions of shock and fear left over from what she had seen from Ruthar as a baby.
"When I held Ruthar in my hands hours ago, his body exhibited some sort of dark aura that piqued my curiosity. Also, when I put the Mana stone in his hand, it turned completely green, which meant he had outstanding Mana, but..."
Kithara raised her left hand to her forehead, feeling it a bit before continuing, "I had a vision at that time. I saw the horrors this boy will cause. I saw visions of those who, even at birth, hunger for Ruthar's potential and have begun to scour cities, worlds... I saw this kingdom getting destroyed with Ruthar in the middle of it... The future of that child is to bring only chaos and destruction to the entire world. All that we have built will crumble in his name..."
Kimara knew how powerful it was for her sister to have visions; they always became reality and, if not heeded, would become a disaster.
"But he's still a kid," Kimara said, knowing her point was not valid. They were talking about a child who was sure to bring the entire world to its knees in years to come, and she was basing her argument on him being a child instead of taking her sword to split his throat.
"We can't kill a child, Kith..."
"He killed you and Ragorn, Taraha, Troma, and even Gandara! Keeping him alive as a Darkdawn is not an option!" Kithara was gritting her teeth in hate. All she had said until that moment hurt her more than a sword stab to the gut.
Kithara was a monster, but no matter how ruthless she was, her care for her children was incomparable to anyone's.
"Maybe I should raise him since he's a Hellborn. Let me raise Ruthar and keep it a secret," Kimara insisted. But Kithara was still persistent, shaking her head in defiance, "t-then I'll make sure to dampen his Mana. I'll poison him secretly once every week to make sure his bones and health stay stagnant. I will do everything it takes to destroy his magic core and sword arts, even if it's by the slightest. If he's weak, there's nothing he can do to destroy the entire world."
Kithara took her time to think through what Kimara offered before nodding.
"And... If we fail..."
"It's the end for us... All of us..."

**Author's Note:**
The Terminus of a Beginning
Now this concludes a big reveal about why Ruthar is so weak and why, despite having multiple times Rotexa's body strength, she ends up being stronger than him in the end... Now we all know why.
And this leads to why Ruthar was so strong, taking down dragons beside Taraha or training with Vance: because he was not poisoned or tampered with during that time...
Thanks for reading up to this moment because this is where we get really serious.
[To some extent, I prefer drama over action, but when I give it to you all, I'll make sure to give it good without a drag. Can't have all of us snoring while reading.]
So stay tuned because this marks the beginning of Season 2: *Soul Exorcist.*
