Chapter 62: Arrival of the Lords... First Sights of the Elders
The sun was already high in the sky as the entire royal family and all Exorcists present stood before the castle's gate, watching and waiting for the arrival of the Lords.
Ruthar stood close to Rotexa, noticing her tense demeanor, perhaps due to the Exorcist soul test happening later that day. The reasons for her fear piqued Ruthar's interest.
'Is she scared of me surpassing her?'
"Uhm-? You look quite tense, Roe?" Ruthar finally spoke, gaining her full attention as though she had been waiting for him to ask all along.
"I don't want to overshadow you in the Exorcist soul test... Also, we won't be around anymore to help against the Lords," Rotexa said bluntly.
Firstly, Ruthar was gutted by the fact she believed she would surpass him in this test, and secondly by the statement everyone was mentioning about them not being around for long.
