After the orientation ended, Clay walked out of the auditorium type room to find Nora standing there, waiting for him. She walked up to him and started to speak.
"I've heard the headmaster talk you up. About how you were naturally able to handle two elements. That's nice, but don't let us down, I can tell you don't know what you're doing. Since you weren't paying attention earlier."
Before Clay could speak again, she walked away. He had absolutely no idea why she said that. But it seemed like she didn't like him very much. No, she definitely didn't like him very much. He could almost feel the disdain in her voice. And he didn't exactly know why, and he wasn't sure if he ever would.
She had a very confident air about her. At least in his opinion she did. She seemed to think very highly of herself. Though everyone would be able to figure that out from just the way she talked.
'Im not exactly fond of people like that.'
His thoughts seemed to be invaded by her when she talked to him, and he didn't like it. And now he couldn't stop thinking about her. He sighed and pinched his nose before going to his dorm. It was rather furnished and sophisticated looking.
"Definitely an upgrade from my past life. I mean, anything was better than that."
He chuckled to himself before putting his bag down onto the bed. Before leaving once again to go to his first class. Even though he was a scholarship student, he hadn't received any actual prior learning besides the ramblings of his father. And his father was an idiot. As much as he respected him and enjoyed the fact he had a father in this life. He still wasn't very fond of his intelligence.
His first class was about the basics of magic. It was a class strictly on the fundamentals. He wasn't exactly sure how magic in this world worked. But he knew it was built on the structure of the world. The world was magic in a way. But it also wasn't. Because if the world was magic, the world would probably just be a bunch of stardust. And that's probably not the best place to live.
He approached a small arched gateway with a small oak door in the frame. He opened it and walked into the class. The rows of seats made it feel like a theater, like the other room was. Once again, the whole place felt sophisticated. That's before he realized the whole class was empty. He was supposed to be late.
"Does nobody else take this class…?"
He said quietly to himself.
"That would be correct, Mr.Solron."
A teacher walked in behind him. A man with pitch black slicked back hair with a black long coat and a gold badge on it. His eyes were crimson red. He placed a book on the lectern at the front of the room.
"Take a seat, in the front, preferably."
Clay sat in the front. Closest to where the teacher was.
"Well my…one student of the semester. I am honestly not very happy. As usually either nobody or everybody takes my classes. I'm not exactly excited about just one. But seeing as you are one of the only common folk at this school. I understand. I am Mr.Faroth, your instructor in the fundamentals of magical arts."
