He stood in one corner of the arena and unsheathed his sword, the rising sunlight reflected off of it through the windows. It was an elegant, graceful sword. And he had absolutely no idea how he got his hands on it. She eyed him oddly. Like he was weird for having that sword. And he agreed.
She unsheathed her daggers with her bow and quiver on her back.
"Alright then. Come at me, freshie."
Clay looked towards her.
'Freshie?'
He sighed and focused, gathering wind around his body, he could feel it swirling around him as it covered his body and his blade, the augmentation spell, wind aura. He used earth and wind magic to burst himself forward at her. Quicker than she expected, he thrusted his sword forward but missed, before he could fly out of the arena he conjured a rock wall he could bounce off of and flew right back towards her. He slashed across her body. Her mana shield staying up right and perfect. He landed on the floor. Planting himself into the ground with his sword.
"Huh…not too bad."
She augmented her daggers with flame and threw them at Clay. He used wind magic to alter their trajectory and sent them into the wall. He then grabbed them with wind and threw them at her. She caught them. And pulled out her bow and arrow. She pulled back an arrow and chanted.
"Enter Inferneum…"
The arrow blazed and roared.
"Dragon arrow!"
The arrow flew towards him, blazing with the face of a dragon, the arrowhead was about 20 times bigger than before, replaced by the blazing face. It blasted him in the shoulder, setting his uniform ablaze. Unlike her, he didn't have a mana shield. Nor did he know how to conjure one. He condensed wind around his shoulder to put out the fire and then shot her up in the air with a blast of wind. He conjured several rocks around her and jumped, enhancing his speed with wind magic. He bounced off the rocks while continuing to hit her.
Until he slammed her into the ground. Watching her mana shield shatter and plunged his blade into the floor next to her head. He panted as he took his sword out of the floor and backed off.
"I win."
She remained on the ground. Completely stunned in silence before he left the arena.
