The final match would be between none other than Asroth and Asrah.
Everyone who had come to watch was stunned by the unexpected turn of events!
None of the young chiefs, who were expected to fight in the finals, made it.
Chief Osro, however, was no longer worried about the Magic Skill [Fire Ball].
Since it would go to Asrah, who would become his daughter-in-law, Chief Osro was satisfied. He admired Asrah's talent and knew she had a bright future ahead.
Once Asrah got into Gohar Academy, she would bring in a lot of money and magic skills.
Although Chief Osro somewhat liked Asroth due to his decent talent, he felt that Asroth might hinder his plans.
Everyone anticipated the battle between the siblings. They knew both wanted to win the Magic Skill and herbs because anyone would be greedy for such prizes.
"I forfeit," Asrah said, silencing everyone.
Moments later, the crowd erupted again.
They didn't expect Asrah to forfeit for her brother, despite the lucrative prize.
All eyes were on Asroth, filled with envy and jealousy, because he had a sister like Asrah.
Not only was she very beautiful, but she was also a genius Martial Warrior. Everyone knew Asrah had a bright future, and Asroth would benefit from it all because the two seemed very close.
Asroth also had a promising future as a Mana warrior, but compared to Asrah's potential, the difference was like heaven and earth.
After receiving the prizes from the host, who seemed reluctant to give them, Asroth and Asrah quickly left.
And thus, the Village tournament concluded.
The unexpected turn of events was the talk of the village until nightfall.
___
While Asroth and Asrah were happily eating inside their house, they heard someone calling from outside.
Asroth quickly went out to see who it was and found a servant of the Village Chief standing there with a smile, holding 50 gold coins.
"Congratulations, Young Master Asroth, for winning the Village tournament!" said the servant.
'What could he want?' Asroth wondered.
"Thank you," Asroth replied.
"I'm here to deliver a message from our Village Chief. Chief Osro wants you to become the new Captain of our village's expedition team. You'll receive many gold coins and a large house, but the Chief has one request..."
"And what is that?"
Asroth had no interest in the promises, as he wanted to leave the village.
Gold coins?
With all the herbs he had, he could buy ten Feather Villages!
"The Chief wants to marry off young lady Asrah to the young chief—"
"Scram!" Asroth coldly shouted.
A 9th level Mana force radiated from his body.
Asrah, standing behind him, also had a dark expression, having heard what the servant said.
The servant, almost unable to breathe and on the verge of coughing up blood due to Asroth's Mana, was terrified. Being an ordinary person and not a Mana Warrior, he had no Mana to defend himself.
Even just the emission of Mana from Asroth could kill him.
Seeing Asrah with a small white phantom magic beast further terrified the servant. Though a mortal, he had enough knowledge about Magic Beasts to recognize the danger.
"I-I'll leave now. S-sorry."
The servant quickly fled, stumbling in fear.
