Chapter 29 - Despair

Asroth quickly leaped towards the five 3rd level Gathering Mana warriors.

He immediately kicked one with all his strength. The warrior was flung away, coughed up a lot of blood, and then died instantly.

Next, Asroth punched two of them, and they died immediately as their internal organs were destroyed by the force of his punch.

Asroth formed Mana again and punched the air, creating a sharp wind force that instantly decapitated his five enemies.

"N-no, please! I have a family---"

Before a 2nd level Gathering Mana warrior could finish speaking, he was killed instantly.

Asrah was shocked by Asroth's actions. His decisiveness in killing, as if he were accustomed to it, left her stunned. There was no reaction on his face, so even Asrah couldn't help but feel scared.

"AHHHHH!!"

Chief Osro charged at Asroth with all his strength while Asroth's back was turned.

But he stopped halfway because of the intense pressure emitted by Asroth.

Asroth raised his hand and formed a strong wind force enveloped in Mana, which swiftly headed towards Chief Osro.

Chief Osro raised his hands to protect himself, pouring all his Mana into them.

Despite this, he was forced back twenty steps and nearly fell. The strength of Asroth's attack was overwhelming, even with a simple hand movement.

Chief Osro felt his hands become immobile.

They were broken.

"Impossible! Impossible! Impossible!"

"How are you a 9th level Mana Force!?" Chief Osro shouted in anger, fear, and confusion.

Asroth sneered and did not answer. Instead, he ran swiftly towards the village chief's three sons.

The large-bodied Riko also charged.

"[Rock Fist!]" Riko shouted, using his magic skill.

But Asroth quickly kicked him in the chest, causing Riko to cough up blood and be flung into a large tree, which toppled from the impact.

"Riko!!!" Chief Osro shouted.

Asroth approached Baldir and Rokan.

"N-no! Don't come closer!" Baldir, almost in tears, said in fear.

"Don't!! I'll give you all my money, and we won't bother you anymore!" Chief Osro shouted.

Swoshhh.

A sharp wind shockwave enveloped in Mana hit Rokan and Baldir's necks.

Their heads fell to the ground.

Chief Osro watched his sons' deaths, and his face seemed to age a decade in an instant.

Despair, hopelessness. That's what his face showed now.

"Idiot old man, this happened because of your greed. You killed your own children," Asroth said coldly.

Asroth slowly approached Chief Osro.

Chief Osro stood there, stunned and motionless, as if already dead.

Asroth shook his head and laughed.

Using strong Mana, Asroth quickly cut off Chief Osro's hand.

Chief Osro didn't react; he just stood there, eyes lifeless.

Asroth took the storage ring from Chief Osro's severed hand.

His heart was elated as he had always dreamed of having a storage ring!

Asroth stood and approached Asrah.

He glanced at Chief Osro, who still stood there, stunned, blood flowing from his severed hand.

"Even if I don't kill him now, he'll die anyway."

"Let's go, Asrah."
