Over billions of years, a massive tree stood, giving life to creatures like fish, dragons, bears, and penguins.
"Ugh... where am I?"
I slowly opened my eyes to find myself in a pool of water. Where am I? What am I? I tried to stand but fell back into the water.
"Damn it, I'm like a newborn baby."
As I lifted my gaze, I noticed someone in the corner of my eye.
Who's that?A penguin waddled toward me.
How do I know what a penguin is?
"Who are you?"
I asked, staring at the creature.
"I'm Bob. And you are?"
"Uh... I don't have a name."
"Don't worry, you'll get your name soon. But first..."
Bob helped me to my feet. I looked down at
my white body, then back at Bob, confused. Where am I? Who am I? And what's with this massive tree?
"So, what name will you give him?"
Bob asked, looking up at the tree.A name began carving itself into the trunk. I stumbled toward it, falling back into the pool. Bob laughed.
"Oh god, you're like a newborn baby!"
I glared at him, then struggled to my feet and read the name carved into the tree.
"Dipull?"
Great, now I have a stupid name too. I looked at Bob.
"Hey Bob, what is this place"
With a happy smile, Bob said,
"This massive tree is our mother, and it's given life to many creatures. We're called the Clan of Chained Monsters because we are all mixed creatures. Some of us have parts of different animals, like a dragon tail with a bear body, or we might be entirely new entities. The name given to you by our mother marks your place among us."
