Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The South continent

The Water Serpent growls loudly, shaking the ground and almost tipping over the carriage. Dipull looked at Bob and said,

"Go, go!"

And Bob gave Vlad a smack on the butt, and the horse started to run as fast as possible, but it was not enough as the serpent's tail moved and—*smash*—blocked the way in front of Bob. Bob pulls on Vlad just in time, and they don't fall to their deaths as the Water Serpent looks from above and hisses, starting to attack again with its tail. It tries to smash Dipull and Bob as Vlad the horse runs away and around, trying its best to dodge the massive tail of the Water Serpent. How are they going to defeat this thing? Is there even a chance of winning?

Dipull went back inside, looking for something to use, and he remembered the sword Bob brought with them, but that's not going to help... Think, Dipull, think.

"!"

An idea popped up in Dipull's mind.

"If we can't win this way, then we need to fight it mentally."

Dipull jumps out of the carriage, rolls, but gets on his feet and looks at the serpent with a smirk.

"Hey!"

The massive Water Serpent looks at Dipull and growls loudly again. Bob looks back, worried, and yells,

"Are you crazy or just out of your mind or both!"

"I HAVE A PLAN! I DISTRACT IT AND YOU GO SLOWLY NEAR IT!"

"WHAT!?"

Dipull then starts to run away, and the massive serpent focuses more on Dipull than Bob. As Dipull runs away, the massive tail smashes again on the ground, shaking the whole land. Dipull jumps up and tries to climb on top of the tail. The serpent then throws its tail back, and Dipull is sent flying through the cold air, hitting his face. The massive serpent opens its mouth, and Dipull goes in!?

"Dipull!?"

Bob was even more worried and didn't know if he could do this alone, but... he still had trust. He just goes full forward, jumps from his seat, and Vlad is left there as Bob goes flying through the air, takes hold of the serpent's scales, and starts climbing.

"Give me back my brother!"

Bob pulls out a dagger from the left side of his waist and tries to stab the serpent but can't get through. He tries again, but this time at a 45-degree angle, and it goes under the scale of the serpent, stabbing inside. The serpent bleeds, growls in pain, and shakes itself violently, but Bob does not let go until he gets Dipull back. He pushes the dagger deeper and deeper, and the pain becomes too much. But also the cold. The serpent starts shaking again and finally falls down dead. Bob lets go, as the still-warm blood of the massive Water Serpent drips on his dagger. Bob stands up, and half of the serpent is on land and the other half in water. Dipull climbs up out of the mouth of the serpent, covered in sticky saliva...

"..."

Bob just looks away, not responding.

"So... about that plan... that was a lie, sorry!"

"Just get back in the carriage, and I will find another way to get to the southern side since this one is now destroyed."

Now there is tension between Bob and Dipull, as Dipull also doesn't say anything and just jumps in the back of the carriage. Bob goes back on top of Vlad, gives Vlad a quick pat on the side, and they go. Meanwhile, Dipull just sits there, still covered in saliva.

"This is still so disgusting..."

Dipull just tries to clean himself off, wraps himself with his white blanket again, and just lays down, thinking about what he has just done.

"Should I say sorry to Bob?"

Dipull asked himself, feeling regret for lying and almost getting himself and maybe even Bob killed.

"Later... I'm just gonna say sorry later..."

As Dipull lay there looking up and just thinking about many things in his brain, many hours passed. Dipull stood up and looked outside from the back, just looking around. The white powder also fell on his head; it was a little cold and left small water drops on his head as he just brushed off the water with his hand.

"I wonder what this white powder-like thing is called."

Dipull pulled himself back in and looked from the front as Bob was riding Vlad. He saw something new: massive frost spikes, as massive mountains appeared in the distance, bigger than the land where the Water Serpent was killed. As they got closer and closer, there were frozen lakes and thicker layers of the white powder. This is the main part of the southern continent.
