The double doors to the boardroom flew open with a loud bang and Bing sharply turned her head in the direction of the noise, a frown marring the smooth skin of her forehead as she waited expectantly for whoever had the audacity to make such a rude entrance.
She had originally had no intention to come in to work today, opting instead to keep Bai home from school. Natzin's unexpected appearance had shocked her and she wanted to keep her in a place that Natzin could not accidentally run into her.
Seeing Natzin alive and well and at her daughter's school had sent the most intense feeling of shock and she had wondered for the tiniest moment of it was a ghost she was seeing but the older more confident version of the Natzin she knew was very real and very threatening.
