Chapter 2 - Two

Nitzan groaned and raised her hand to the point on her head which hurt so badly and she felt a large bump. She sat upright suddenly however, that proved to be a wrong move because her head was swimming so she had to lay back and close her eyes and take a deep breath as black spots appeared in her eyes while she was overcome by a faint sensation.

"Careful." A voice said, "You fell down and you were brought to the hospital, you should not try to make any sudden movements so you don't fall back unconscious."

As a stream of memories flooded her brain, her eyes flew open as she put her hands protectively on her stomach and gasped, "my baby!"

When she tried to sit up again, she was pressed back down into the pillows.

"Your baby is fine, you need to be more careful in the future so that you don't endanger the little one's health."

Feeling relieved, Nitzan turned her head in the direction of the voice and saw a kindly looking nurse hovering over her with concern in her eyes.

"How do you feel dear?" The nurse asked.

"Water." Nitzan croaked and the nurse helped prop the pillows so that her head was elevated then she brought a bottle with a straw in it and placed it in between her lips.

She thirstily drank from it and ended up choking thanks to how quickly she had drank.

"Take it easy." The nurse admonished and put the bottle away.

"Who brought me here?" Nitzan asked the nurse.

"Let me go and get him, he has been waiting to make sure that you are alright." The nurse said and left the room.

Nitzan braced herself for how she would feel when she see Jie, she did not know how to deal with what she had heard earlier on and even though she was feeling heartbroken she was ready to forgive him if he apologized. After all their baby needed a mother and a father, she had lived without parents and she knew how hard it was and she wanted no child of hers to experience that.

*Knock knock*

Nitzan looked up in expectation and her face fell when she noticed the unfamiliar person who stood at the door and nervously twisted his cap in his hands, that was definitely not Jie.

"I brought you here after I found you passed out by the stairs, I am the maintenance man at white towers apartment." He explained.

"You brought me here?" Nitzan asked in disbelief, sure that she had heard wrong.

"Where are Bing and Jie?" She asked frantically.

"I am sorry but you were alone when I found you and you were bleeding so badly, I knew that if I did not get you help immediately you would die."

"Thank you so much for your kindness, please let me compensate you for your troubles." She offered but he shook his head.

"I did not do it for a reward, I am just glad to know that you are fine but I must return to work now." He said kindly and excused himself.

When he was gone, Nitzan took the chance to cry softly. Despite having mixed feelings because the two people she cared about the most in life cheated on her but she had hoped that Jie would come and beg her and tell her that it had all been a mistake. But if he was not here that must mean that he did not want to be with her.

She angrily wiped off her tears and swore to deal with the both Jie and Bing, nobody could play with her that way and get away with it. First of all, she would kick Bing out of the company and take everything she had ever given her then dump Jie publicly. She had always thought that he was an upright man but apparently she had been very wrong.

It hurt that she had invested years of love on these two, she felt heartbroken but she would ensure that they felt sorry by the time she was done with them.

The next morning she woke up more resolute than ever and she called her housekeeper to bring a fresh change of clothes to the hospital. After getting dressed, she hid the ugly bump on her forehead with her long silky hair and got a taxi straight to the company's building.

As she walked into the building, employees stopped to bow respectfully to her and despite her low mood she smiled gracefully at them. When she got to the top floor where Bing's office was she strode towards the door, ignoring the secretary who tried to warn her that Bing was in a meeting.

She opened the door abruptly and Bing looked coolly at her, seemingly not surprised by the intrusion. Opposite Bing sat Nitzan's lawyer who looked uneasy to see her.

"Ah uncle Yen, is good that you are here." Nitzan said as her eyes locked on Bing with all the malice and hatred she felt.

"Ran Bing, I want you gone out of this premises immediately and never return." Nitzan said.

She could feel herself shaking and even though she wanted to launch and Bing and pull at her hair, she could not afford to be seen as losing control, or get in a skirmish that would endanger her baby's life. Moreover, expelling her out of the company was infinitely better.

"I made you my best friend even though everyone talked about how you were a gutter girl and I would end up regretting my decision but I stood by it, how could I have known that you were only a two face witch who wanted to ruin my life."

Bing leaned back in her swivel chair in a relaxed manner and smiled cunningly which was not the reaction that Nitzan had been expecting, where was the crying and the begging for forgiveness?

"Don't think that you did such a great thing by being my friend, I am infinitely better than you can ever be." She said and as Nitzan opened her mouth to speak she interrupted her. "I bore all those years of being close to you when I wanted the most to never see your face again."

Nitzan finally broke down at the gate that was directed towards her. "I trusted you."

"Actually, trust is for fools and i don't think that I will be leaving this company. Infact you are the one who will be leaving and never return here." She said smugly and Nitzan stared at her eyes wide with shock then she exploded in laughter.

"I see that you are not only a disgraceful and ungrateful cheat, you are also delusional. What makes you think that you can speak to me in that way." Nitzan said as she wiped tears of mirth from her eyes and looked derisively at her.

Bing nodded and turned to face the lawyer seating before her who was not sweating conspicuously. "Uncle Yen, how about you educate this spoiled brat that she no longer has the right to make orders as she pleases?"

Nitzan's eyes swung to the lawyer who glanced nervously around everything except her. "What is she talking about?" She asked as a sense of unease travelled up her spine.

"Actually Nitzan, you no longer have any shares in this company so you are no longer the owner and as such you can't ask her to leave." He dropped the bomb.
