'We will meet soon, Little Wolf.'
Leila heard the words echoing in her mind even though she was in deep sleep. The voice was strange yet somehow familiar in its intoxicating edge. She wanted to open her eyes and find the speaker, but her body felt a little sluggish as she was pulled deeper and deeper into sleep.
She stopped fighting the drowsiness as she was suddenly surrounded by a comforting scent. The smell was cold, almost minty, in nature, but it made her soul feel soothed and refreshed. It was like she was being held in the most loving arms.
So, she kept on sleeping on the wicker chair.
When morning came, she opened her eyes and yawned lazily before realising that she had slept on the chair the entire night. But the sleep was the best she had had since leaving Nirvana Village and moving to Lake City.
