Red's POV
I was shocked when Destiny ran to me and put her arms around me, crying. Is she touched about the house I bought for us? Yes, it was true. I didn't make that story up to win back her heart. I really wanted her to be proud of me.
"You don't need to prove anything to me, Red." She mumbled as I cocooned her into my arms.
"Yeah, I know, but before I became a lawyer, I was just your family driver and maid's son. It was one of the reasons why I didn't ask you to go on a date with me even if I was dying too," I said as she slowly got away from my hold and sat on the L-shaped leather modern luxury sofa in the living room.
"Are you ashamed of your father?" She asked, and I quickly shook my head.
"Of course not; I was never ashamed of my family or where I came from. I am proud of having them as my parents. I felt so little standing beside you even at school, but you always come around and always at my side like a magnet."I replied, and she blushed.
