Destiny's POV
Five Years Later
Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months, and before I knew it, five years had passed since I left my father's mansion.
It wasn't easy to live in an unfamiliar place, and I couldn't deny I missed the city life and the life I used to have, but thanks to Thomas and his family, I could surpass the hardship, and I turned into a different person. I became independent and learned to value hard work.
I used to have anything I wanted when living in my parent's house. I drove fancy cars and wore expensive designer clothes, shoes, perfumes, and even bags, but I didn't pay for them from my own pocket.
But living at the Gordon's estate, I learned to appreciate the simplicity of life, and I am loving every moment of it, even if I have to work my butt out. But it was more rewarding to drive my car, even if it was secondhand. I worked hard for it but knew I had to leave the farmhouse one day.
